Once you hit the 1 year mark and also tough out the advice from others to cut it, the journey on into year 2 is a bit easier. At least it has been for me.

You'll be getting into the awkward phase soon. Just do whatever you have to do to keep growing without cutting. Do it man.. do it! :-)

I think winter is a good time to be in the awkward phase...people will tend to wear hats and wool caps a lot. That helps get you through that awkward phase. I think by next spring, you'll be happy with the results...just hang in there!
