There's a question I would like to ask of those that are 1 to 3 years into your hair growth. Are you surprised at the type of hair you have? Meaning how wavy or curly your hair has become. My photos show how I've gone from waves to curls at the ends in 9 months. Would have liked the waves to stay, but now I'm having to learn to deal with curls.
I was surprised, how about you?
Frank
Hey Frank, hope you are doing well these days. Personally I am not surprised at 29 months...my hair has been very stable over the years being straight and fine. Wish I had your curl problem!
Cheers,
Max
Hey Max,
It's funny you say that. I wish I had your straight and fine hair problem...wanna trade?
Take care,
Brett
Growing My Hair Out...Again! Progress Pics
Wish I had your curl problem!
Howdie Max, I've tried to brush the curls out but they keep coming back. O well.
Frank
Yeah, I'm actually pretty surprised. My hair went from being fairly straight when it was short, to being slightly wavy, to now at 16 months very wavy.
I still have a mixture, waves & curls along the sides, but long waves in back. Well, keep it growin you may somemore surprises ahead of you.
Frank
Absolutely. My house is in a fairly arid desert region north of L.A. and when I'm at home my hair gets kind of straight, but down by the beaches and more humid areas I practically get an afro.
when my hair used to be longer i noticed that too
Lets see what another year will bring.
To me, it is the other way around. When my hair was a bit longer than a cropped cut, my hair is curly. Then when it got longer, gravity straightened it, and it is wavy.
Regardless
Hi Regardless, I thougtht gravity would help me out too, but we'll see how it progress from now on.
Frank
I'm not at all surprised at mine, but I knew what to expect as I grew it out years ago.
It does seem strange that you went from waves to curls though, as it's usually the other way round. Anyway, your hair looks great, so enjoy it!

Hi Viking, I though from what I read, that the longer it gets the straighter it might get, well I guess my hair is a bit different, any way. Thanks for the compliment.
Frank
Hair can be a funny thing with a will of it's own, that's the fun part about growing out.
I didn't even knew my hair was wavy before growing it out and I'm very curious how my hair will turn out in another year of growth.

Hey Vincent, you got that right that hair can have a mid of its own. You never know, you may get some curlies yourself.
Take care.
Frank
Oh yeah! It's straightened out a lot, suprisingly, yet the ends are still wavy-ish. When I finally get around to dead-heading it, I wonder what it'll turn out like. And, when I take a shower, it gets really wavy . . . hmmm . . . Good question!
Now back to Bio.,

It's like having a new style everyday with the waves/curls, they do as they please.
Hi Frank, hope you are well.
I am not surprised - mine always looked like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards and still does!
I think yours looks great both ways, it may also be that the top flattens off with the weight pulling it downward, that's sort of happened with me anyway :-)
Cheers, Dave
Howdy Dave, and just think a lot of the straight haired guy & gals want hair like ours!
All the best to you.
Frank
