I succumbed to recent pressure (and some damage which left my right side looking much shorter and damaged and w trim which set me back) And cut my hair short again back in August, but I am growing it back. My hair is no way near as short as it was when I started last time.
But im happy, i made loads of mistakes last time, and in about ayear, I'll be back where i was hopefully a lot better.
This is one of the last photos of me before i cut it, on my holiday in turkey, it will be a constant reminder of what i want in the future.
I wont post a pic of me now, as i just don't look awesome enough, and no doubt the post would be taken down.
Still lurking though, i'll post as soon as i feel my hair is at a suitable length again.
Please dont freak out at me, I was unhappy with the uneveness, and constantly trying to be seen from the left side (like in the photo)
Thanks
I'm sorry to hear you cut your hair, hope you learned your lesson and grow it without trims this time.
It's hard to grow out hair at a younger age, my first attemt was about ten years ago but that failed.
This time around thing have gone very well for me and I wish you the same!
That's a film photo. I KNEW it!!!
I'm glad you evened it out. My hair is also currently really uneven (the left side is slightly longer at the back, and the back is too short next to the front), and it pisses me off quite a lot. But i'm growing it out at least for 3 years before i even THINK of trimming it.
Peer pressure is constantly telling me to cut it off but when I bring up the point that I won't be myself without my big curly hair, they agreed and said I had a point. XD
Glad you learnt not to carry on with previous mistakes.
I look forward to seeing future updates!!
Shawn
At least, you don't leave the idea of having hair long !
I'm waiting for your next post ;)
Bye

Hey Beanz,
Your hair looks great. Next time around try growing without trims...I bet it will look great!
Take care and good luck on your return journey to longhairdom!!!

Growing My Hair Out...Again! Progress Pics
Hi Beanz.
You look a lot different in the picture compared to the avatar. Nevertheless, hopefully, that's the last trim for you for a long time to come. I want to see your hair long.
As for me, I am avoiding trims till my hair is well past the awkward stage. My dad wants me to get a trim every six months, and as long as he has that attitude towards my hair, I am limiting my time with him. I only see him like 1 percent of my time, anyway.
Regardless
didn't this happen more than once already?
That's terribly unfortunate but then that's life. Glad you enjoyed your experience and hopefully you'll have another go at it.
Kevin
Hi Beanz, no need to feel bad about the cut, I believe it's better to be happy with the shorter hair now than to be unhappy with longer uneven or damage hair that bugs you. You'll know when the time is right to give it another try at growing it out.
Just my 2 cents.
Frank
ahh, youll overcome these obstacles, and dont feel bad just keep letting it grow
I'm sorry to hear that you cut it, but I certainly can't fault you for doing so. When I first grew mine in the '90s, I had about five false starts. I'd let it get to about the length yours was and then chop it off. In the end I just went for it and decided not to cut it till it was a length I was happy with. Then I chopped it all off in '95 and lived with short hair until about four years ago when I decided to grow it again. This time, my aim is to see how long it gets.
Anyway, the point of all that was to say that there's nothing wrong with cutting your hair. It's yours to do what you want with and just because you've cut your hair now doesn't mean that you won't grow it to waist length or whatever at some point in the future. Whatever you decide to do, good luck with it and keep us posted.
Thanks for all the replies, I was sure I would get flamed so to get nice replies is a blessing.
People keep saying have you done this before, I think your mixing me up with pheonixCE (apparently we look alike). This was my first time at growing my hair. definately gonna enjoy the second.
Let it grow then!
