bought some hot oil treatment does it really work and is there anything i need to know before doing it? just though id give it a try and see the results
Yes it does!
Olive oil will work as well IMO and It's a lot cheaper.
I tried a VO5 hot oil treatment once about 15 years ago. I followed the instructions to the letter and it really messed up my hair. It ended up really flat and greasy for about a week afterwards. Other people have had good experiences with it though, so give it a try and see how it goes.
I've been using jojoba oil for the last ten days. See my previous posts for details of how. That seems to be working really well so far. My hair's a lot smoother and it seems to have much more volume and the ends don't seem to be as dry either. I haven't tried it hot yet, but will probably get round to that one of these days. For now, the light oil is working OK and I don't have time for a long pampering session at the moment.
Cut off any split ends. Keep conditioner on longer, only shower every othr day.
