Hi-
My hair is about 4 weeks out from a buzz cut. My plan is to grow it out long enough to look like Duncan MacLeod in the Highlander series. How do I keep it looking somewhat decent in the growth phase? I hate ball caps. And how do I keep motivated while it is growing out in the akward phase? Thanks. This message board has been great in helping me formulate my goal of long hair.

A. How about a pic of Duncan MacLeod in the Highlander movie hanging on the wall and easy to see. Then mesure it at keep a running account.
Welcome to the board, I wish you good luck on your yourney through the akward stage. If caps are not an option you can wear a bandana or use gel (although gel can damage hair so that was not my choise.)
What keeps me motivated is taking pictures and comparing them with older ones so I can see the difference.
