I haven't posted anything in a while...maybe a year.
On January 1st it will have been 3 years since I cut my hair.
My hair was probably 4 inches past my shoulders, and I got 4 inches cut off due to damaged hair from when I first started growing. If you read one of my older posts you'll know its because I put peroxide in my hair after being told it would make your hair lighter - I didn't believe it and found out the hard way, damaging maybe 4 - 5 inches of hair along the way...
My hair used to be real poofy and curly when it was shorter.
Now that I'm gaining length my hair is starting to get flatter and only have waves, not curls.
What would you guys here recommend to make my hair "fuller" other than cutting it. I think I'll keep it at this length though, barely below my shoulders.
Conditioner helps a lot. I have the wavey/curly type hair, and my stylist suggested that I could lighten up on what I was using. Like down to only a few times a week, and the shampoo I do use a is pretty small amount. Currently I am using the US brand "Pureology" which is on the pricey side, but very good. Now, I only condition like once or twice a week, and I like the results. I do use a dab of a hair product for control, after I dry, which is not that different than old fashioned Brylcream. It seems to smooth and control the loose hair. If I let it dry that way, it stays together all day, and there are no split ends ever.

One reason for this may simply be weight. As your hair gets longer, often some of the curly/waviness (sp?) goes away due to the lower parts weighing it down and pulling it straighter.
I know mine is much straighter than it used to be in the upper portions, while the lower parts are still rather wavy. However, the shorter hairs, from breakage or whatnot, are still rather curly (enough to drive me to distraction when I can't get them to work and play well with others [grin]).

. Don't be afraid to try a body wave if you like the poofier look. Women (and MEN) have benn doing it for years and with conditioning- hair stays pretty healthy Perms and waves are not just a fem/gay/gal thing anymore.
