Just turned 58. This is the first time I have let it grow this long.
Hey better late than never so three cheers for taking the plunge!Looks great so far but have you decided how long you'll grow your hair????Based on the condition so far I'd just leave it alone and see what nature provides you with:)Take care Jeff.

Good for you! I thought that growing it out at 30 was past the age when most start growing out. I have found out though that there are many folks around here who run by their own clock. Better now than never. The hair has good shine and colour, too.
Congrats and welcome aboard.

I was 46 when I started growing mine out, and I turned 48 this last July. I did let my hair grow out for a couple years after I got out of the military at 28, but I got tired of dealing with it, so I cut it back.
Great long hair and shows that ANY AGE can look fabulous with it.
Great picture Jeff and glad your letting it grow out and keep it growing.
Cheers,

I can relate! The first time I was able to get all of my hair back into a ponytail was on my 40th birthday (I'm 55 now); but, I had ALWAYS wanted to grow my hair out long...
When we are younger, sometimes life doesn't always hand us a fair deck of cards to play with, and it seems we often feel denied the ability to pursue what seems like only a simple request (to have long hair). When I was a kid, for example, and even into my teens, my dad would not allow long hair on me or my brothers in his house, --- so, I left that house at age 18 (for other reasons as well; but, that's another story - LOL).... Then I had jobs in my early adulthood (when in my 20s and early 30s) that had conservative dress codes that had to be complied with, including limited hair length on men. In addition to that, once I reached my mid-thirties, I felt the social pressure to "conform" to other men's "acceptable" hair styles around me, --- in other words, a self-imposed feeling that I "shouldn't" / "couldn't" grow my hair out now, due to being "too old!"
What a beautiful sense of freedom it is to break free from worrying about what others think about us (or our appearance), and to pursue instead what makes us happiest, --- and makes us feel the most natural and "normal" in our own skin!
A big CONGRATS to you, Jeff, --- and your hair looks fantastic, too!!

Hi Jeff,
What outstanding hair you are blessed with for 58 years old, thick and healthy, and many guys half your age are not as lucky to have such great hair. Congratulations on 3 years of growing, and may you grow it for many more years!
Keep it growing,
David
Looking good, you're blessed with hair still full of coulor!
Looks good Jeff and great colour,
Happy Birthday and by the hair I wouldn't guess anywhere near 58.
But then Justin's like that too and he's 60 and he looks my age
or younger. :(

Your hair looks very healthy and shiny. Cannot see any gray so for 58 it looks very youthful looking. Keep it growing!

Your hair looks lovely, Jeff. Long hair is not just for youngsters. My hair reaches the top of my knees and I am 55. Another older guy here is Justin. His hair is gorgeous and an inspiration to everyone here both young and old. Kudos to you for growing it for the last 3 years. Keep it growing for sure.
