Hi everyone. This is my 22nd update on my hair growth. It is also eight months since my one and only trim.
By the way, at this point, I am going to post my update every other month. My next update will be in December (I am doing even months now), and it is going to be my 2 year update. Then my update in February (26th month update) will consist of pictures from Maui.

I just can't wait to get out of the awkward phase and put all of my hair in a ponytail.

After examining all your entries I'd have to vote for this one as "pick of the litter:)"You've come a long way since you were strong armed into that trim way back when.Thankfully hair has a way of regenerating itself so in time your mane made a tremendous comeback.Great update my friend as I know the best is yet to come!

Thanks Mark. I came a long ways since I looked like a "girl" back in February after the trim for the wedding. I am actually past the pre-trimming point. I can't wait for the best to come. For example, I can't wait to have a full ponytail.

What a fantastic update this was and really shows that your hair has taken-off big time. And look at what you have achieved in 22 months. Just amazing! All looks so nice and healthy and full. Superb in every way.
Keep up the good work as the Awkward Stage is soon to be over and after that growing out ones hair becomes much easier. There is yet another Awkward Stage in store, but nothing like the original one.

Thanks Ken. Yes, it takes time for me to notice my hair getting longer. At this point, I am posting my update every two months. You probably forgotten that I am from Seattle. The background is not Australia. I had never been outside North America. The woods is not far from where I live.

You are blessed with the most incredibly thick hair, and it growing very well indeed. Although curly hair can be frustrating to grow because the length is not apparent as quickly as with those having straight hair, the rewards are defintely worth it, and the awkward phase will be over before you know it. Hang in there, and keep growing that great hair of yours.

Thanks David. Yes, my hair is thick. My hair is more wavy than curly, but the waves do make my hair not seem to change over the months. But I should have a "growth spurt" sometimes soon.

Thanks Neil. I say in about three months, I should be out of the main awkward stage. One of the guys said that I will be going through a second, but smaller awkward stage, but it is not going to be like the main one.

I meant the years 1485 and 1490; your hair is, from what I can tell, about the average length of a young, stylish European dude's hair in 1485 or so. The average length had been, um, *growing* for a few decades and would continue until about the 1490s, when there were (for the first time in European history, I think) plenty of young dudes with shoulder-length hair or even longer. (Then King Francis I of France got his hair singed by a torch and he had to cut it and some obsequious courtier told him it looked better that way and that was eventually the end of that for about a hundred years.) Hope this helps!
Looks great! As I've mentioned before, you and I are at almost the exact same time. I reach 22 months on the 24th. You and I are at about the same length, but yours is a lot thicker. I'm also developing curls on the side and ends, which I discovered when I stopped using a blow dryer after washing.

Looks good. Yours is doing the same thing mine did at a similar length, the ponytail is more of a "puffball" than a "tail". Originally I hadn't planned on growing mine much more then a bit below the shoulders, but I let it grow further hoping the tail would even out more.
Thanks Jim. Yes, with my hair being wavy, it can make my ponytail a puffball, but it is kind of cool to have a puffball ponytail. I can't wait to have a complete ponytail.

For me, I couldn't stand the puffball look, so I rarely wore it tailed 'til it grew out some more. But then again, if it hadn't puffed like that, I might never have grown it out the way it is now, so I guess it worked out for the best in the end.
And don't worry, looks like you're almost there, and you'll get the full tail soon enough.
Wow that's a great update Regardless. I havn't been able to keep up with the board as much as I'd like to lately. This is a HUGE update since the last one that I saw of you. You'r probably an inch away from a good tail and I'd say you're out of the awkward phase as it's basically on your shoulders. Well done!
