I finally was able to find a job yesterday! Luckily it's one that accepts my hair growing venture as well, so there won't be any long term sacrifices made. I get to keep my tats out and earrings in to. People like to talk alot of sh*t about Wal-Mart, but they seem to be pretty cool as a company coming out of the box and they pay way better wages and benefits than most other retail outlets. Most of all I'm just happy to be makin $$$$$$ again! :D
Congratz on finding a job which allows you to keep your hair!
Congratulations on the job, Walmart in Alberta has lots of long haired guys working, good to know it is a store policy. Enjoy the $$$$
Congrats on the job. As a matter of small coincidence, my two older sons have both worked for Wal-Mart, although both have now moved on to other jobs.
What will you be doing?
I'm gonna be on Instock 3. I got this weekend of CBL's (Since you have Wal-Mart relatives you should know the abbreviations ;) ) to do then I can finally start working in earnest.
Not really, lol. Son#2 never got into the details of the job, and Son#1 worked as one of the cart guys, bringing in shopping carts from the parking lot. Good luck with the job.
Well the long and short of it oughtta be easy to figure out. CBL stands for Compter Based Learning, so basically I'm on my butt in front of a computer screen for 8 hours a day toay and Sunday.
Congratulations!!!I am a manager for a retail company as well, and have always admired Walmart for their hiring practices in that they dont discriminate based on any appearance issues, however they do have 'issues' i contend with. My local Walmart has 2 guys in it with hair to their belt or longer and they wear it loose and look great. Best of luck..embrace your career. Gordy
There are not too many of life's endeavors that are more demeaning than the job search...nor too many things more rewarding than landing a position.
Congratulations !!
