Nearly at the 3 years milestone, I never knew what it would look like or whether it would be right for me but I'm pleased with the way my hair has turned out.
Patience and care (but try not to fiddle!) and not over washing have worked well.
Thanks for the support over the years, cheers
~ Dave
I'm not exxagerating when I say that you've got one of the most awesome and unique heads of hair I've ever seen, and it's gotta be a great inspiration for many long-hairs out there. Thanks for sharing your update with us,Dave, and don't change a thing in your growing process,as it is working flawlessly.Cya round =).
Thanks so much Rafael, I feel honoured to think that people may be inspired.
Cheer Dave
I'm glad you like how it turned out, because you have one cool, wild head of hair. Keep it growing!
Mouse
You too!! :-)
~ Dave
Well done on your next milestone Dave and you hair looks in really great condition. Just show what keeping away from the scissors does...eh trimmers!
Cheers,
John.B
yeah trimmers eh? no good for no one.
Cheers John,
Dave
That mane is still as wild and kickass as ever, its truly unique and one of a kind.
Nice shirt btw, Motorhead right?
Thanks DiO, its not a Motorhead shirt, its actually one of my own designs, inspired by 'Head tho. It was for a 24hr mountain bike race hence 'No Sleep'
Cheers dude
~ Dave
Hey Dave! You're a natural born longhair. What can I say...your hair is terrific. Great pic of you in your long-haired glory. Congrats.
Take care,
Maxie-Babes.
Hey there Maxie babes, thanks for you kind reply, and yes I do feel like I've found my look or 'niche'.
Cheers big buddy
Dave
Hey Dave, was watching the original Halloween movie last night (it's the 30th anniv. of it) and Rob Zombie was hosting it and I thought to myself, "man he looks like NuttiDave with those wild locks!!!"
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Cheers,
MaxieBabes
LOL! cool :-)
Hope you're having a great weekend too!!
Looks really great, man! 3 years, wow, that's truly and accomplishment! Your hair sure kicks ass, I dig it a lot. Definitely keep growin'.

Hegg
Thankyou very much Hegg, thats a big compliment from a man with such a great mane himself. Enjoy your autumn and winter my friend.
~ Dave
Hi Dave,
It is always a pleasure to get an update from you, since you have some of the coolest hair on the hyperboard. I am glad that you have hung in there, and grown the mane you have been blessed with. Keep it wild, and keep it growing!
Cheers,
David
Hi David, its a pleasure to hear from you too. Thanks as always for your kind words and I am looking forward to your next update.
Take care
Dave
Well done Dave,
Your another one to inspire those just starting out. As rough as
times may have gotten the end result is waiting for those with
the patients to get there. It looks looks very good and
definitely suits you.
Kevin
Rough being the operative word!! my locks have always had that 'rough and ready' look.
Thanks Kevin
~ Dave
Cool Dave. You have some pretty snazzy curls. Keep on growing; it is only going to get better.
Regardless
Thanks buddy!!
~ Dave
Absolutely ASTONISHING Dave! WOW.........I never in a Million Years would have guessed that your hair would have turned-out as magnificently as it has. You have long hair unlike any other, and ever so unique unto itself. And, does it EVER look fantastic beyond any words I could even think of. Fits you perfectly and what a splendid example you set of long hair being allowed to grow on its own untouched by trims, even-ups, layering etc.
BRAVO, APPLAUSE and
STANDING OVATION!!!!!!
Justin~
Hey Justin, I know who would have thought when I slunk into the corner of this here board and introduced myself as a wannabe. And your avatar was my inspiration, that cool hippie vibe with the leather headband, loved it, and still do.
Thanks for being a great supporter my friend.
~ Dave
Excellent Dave! Congrats, it's great look for you. For all those with curls that don't seem like they'll ever flow downward, Dave is a perfect example of the virtue of patience. Good for you Dave!
Bruce
Thankyou Bruce, very much indeed :-)
~ Dave
Dave~
It is hard to believe that it is three (almost) years since you showed up. Seems like just yesterday.
Congratulations on following through to your current astounding longhair image.....You are an inspiration to all newcomers, especially curly-heads.
Thanks for sharing
~Walter
Thankyou so much Walter, you have always been very supportive and without great fellows like you short hairs like me would never get past the awkward stage.
THANKS :-)
~ Dave
Heyyyyyyyyyyy Davieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Hey you are the MAN!Just not the one Jason railed against last week though.LOL.You have such a unique look as you stand out so much against us other longhairs. Its hard to believe its been that long for you already as the time flew by so fast. Now if we can convince other aspiring longhairs that if you don't mess with you hair during the journey,ie: trimmin', the results will be much better and reaching your goal will be sooner rather than later.Awesome DUDE:)Cheers
Mark
Hey Markie babes!!, you know I can never understand someone cutting off maybe two or three months of growth thinking it will grow faster or whatever, just leave it and love it man!!
Thanks for being my mate Hairball - you rock!!
~ Dave
Hey Dave, things are looking good. We are on the same schedule; I hit 3 years in December, with one trim so far.
Still like the "wild man" look!
Yeah hasn't it just flown by, looking forward to seeing your progress update Big George and thanks for replying.
~ Dave
Outstanding! I said it once before, but you are a real inspiration to this almost-one-year-growing guy.
Can you expand a bit on what you mean by "fiddling"? I've been staying away from combs and brushes, as well as heat appliances, but I do fiddle quite a bit with my fingers throughout the day!
Take care,
Chris
Thankyou Chris and I'm glad I can be of help to you growing out.
When I say no fiddling, I don't brush only with my fingers, I don't use shampoo - only conditioner and only once a week, no blow drying and no looking in mirrors and windows fretting that it's not 'quite right'.
This may not work for everyone, but it does for me.
Good luck on your continued journey.
~ Dave
Thanks! As far as looking in windows and mirrors worrying that it's not quite right, I think you just described me, haha. I can drive myself crazy that way..
Chris
hey Dave,
Great to see your accomplishment. Looks great man!
cheers, Pete
Thanks Pete, its always great to hear from you.
I hope your doing well and enjoying the autumn colours.
~ Dave
Not sure if it's the face shape or something else, but you seem to look just like Bob Marley there!
Anyway, congrats and keep growing.
my website
Thankyou, and nobody has said that before, Aragorn and Mikael Akerfeld from Opeth, but never Bob Marley!!
Cheers Dave
Wow Dave! Your hair is progressed wonderfully. Like your natural approach to care and grooming. Keep it growin n flowin!
peace, jonalbear
Thankyou JonalBear, I hope you are well and enjoying the autumn in that lovely spot that you live :-)
~ Dave

Hey Mark, thanks so much dude. Hope you are well my friend.
~ Dave
Has it seriously been that long already? Wow... Well, your hair is looking great, Dave. Can't wait to see your 3rd year update. Hope all is well with you. =)
-James
Thanks James, I will have to try and come up with something more special than a computer 'snap' for my 3 yrs update.
Cheers Dave
Looking Good Dave. Our Ancestors didn't use fancy shampoo either and your proof that you can still have good looking hair without "fiddling" around too much with it.
Cheers,
Duncan
Absolutely Duncan, and good to see you are fostering the natural look too.
Cheers Dave
As always your hair looks totally awesome and you got some nice curls/waves. I really like its wild structure, its so unique. Cool that you found a routine that works well for you.
I also only detangle with my fingers and let it air dry, but wash about twice a week with a little bit of shampoo.
Thanks Herb, your update was fantastic. Hope you had a great time in Wales.
Cheers Dave
Awesome Dave!!! Your natural curls and dreads look killer! I bet it would nearly touch your belt if you were to straighten it. Definately impressive growth for 3 years. Good to hear from you, take care Dave.
-Phil
Hey Phil, thanks for the reply, looking forward to your next update!!
Keep rockin' dude
~ Dave
Your hair has a very unique look to it, Dave. A chaotic hair growth pattern is very rare for sure. Your hair looks as though it might do well with a water only washing routine. You might give it a try. Water only works well on my beard which has a similar texture to the hair on your head. Anyway, keep growing it.
Scott
Thanks for your comments Scott, I already use the water only except for conditioner once a week.
Cheers Dave
I guess you ought to be pleased with such a fine head of hair as you have grown. Looks great and suits you well.
MB
Thankyou for your encouragement Matt.
Cheers Dave
(n/t)
Cheers mate!! :-)
"I never knew what it would look like or whether it would be right for me but I'm pleased with the way my hair has turned out."
That is a confident and proud statement. Cheers to you, Dave. It looks great.
Shawn (Mr.Crow)
Thankyou sir, very much.
Great to hear from you.

Thankyou Vincent!!
Simply awesome, man. Keep it growin'.
