I haven't done a strictly hair update in some time. Some may remember my disenchantment with my hair since my awful summer shed and the subsequent 3 inch cut. Things have improved some. I've gotten some of that length back but I still feel the ends are not that great. I may keep trimming for a while until their health returns to that of how they were last Spring.
My Site
Hi Jason,
It is great to see an update from you, and that back yard looks familiar, for some reason! (I wonder how those pears are doing, by the way!) Your hair looks awesome, and the ends look in excellent condition to me. I am sure, that with time, you will reach your goal of belt length , then even longer hair. I hope that things are going well for you these days. (in about 6 weeks, I will be on my way to Tammmy's again!)
Take care,
David
Thanks David. You're welcome to revisit that yard anytime!
I'm really wondering whether belt-length is really possible for me but I'm enjoying what I have.
I'm so happy that you will be returning to Tammy's soon especially because of her upcoming surgery. Our thoughts are definitely with you both.
Hi Jason.
I'm sad to hear that the ends are still giving you a bit of trouble although all looks very good in the pics. Hopefully
you won't have to go for too many more trims, my fear is before you know it you'll be a short hair again. That thought sends
shivers up and down my spine.
Interesting though in the one pic it looks like some individual hairs go past your straight line. They catch the sunlight and seem longer than the rest. Maybe it's just the lighting, in any event you can trim those off.
Take Care
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Those hairs are actually shed hairs from the recent brushing I did before taking the photos. Don't worry, I'd never trim above a certain length! At this point any trims would be very small. I've already regained a decent amount length since that 3 inch cut.
Take care,
Jason
all looks good Jason! love the color and length of your hair def an inspiration for me dude :)
All that gorgeous hair and Autumn colours to boot !!
Thanks for sharing
Walter
Hair's looking great. I like the look of the straight cut in the back.
Hey Jason.Yes it has been a long time since we got an update but whenever you do one its always awesome.I could never tell from these pics that your hair has had problems with the ends. From what I see it actually looks darn perfect. Its too bad that you had to resort to a major trim as 3 inches is quite a lot.But if you felt it helped then I guess it was necessary.Like all longhairs I too have bouts with hair tangling periodically which occurs during changes of the seasons. That's why I have many different product on hand as I constantly have to rotate until my hair responds.Don't know why that is but I just deal with it.
Anyway thanks for taking the time to post your pics.Hopefully from now on your hair will be less troublesome.Take care my friend:)
Mark
Hi Mark,
Yeah, I was loathe to cut but at the time it really was necessary. I'm quite pleased with the extent of my regrowth.
I too like to rotate products at times. It does seem to help.
Thanks for your comment and compliments.
Take care,
Jason
Jason, Your hair is looking as great as ever.
Keep it growin n flowin!
peace, jonalbear
Hey Jason
OMG.........wasn't this past Summer the WORST EVER for shedding you have ever know? It sure was for me. Yikes......I'm surprised I have anything left, but in the end it worked-itself out and now all is back to "normal" (Hmmmmmmmm, has that word ever been defined? If so, I am not within it.) But I think everyone on here knows this by now. I mean really, how many here still play in a sandbox? LOL :-)
About those ends. They don't look all that bad to me in the slighest and I know that you like the straight across look for the back. So, all I actually see are just some scraggles hanging down. Perhaps this would do the trick? Otherwise, at least to mee elderly eyes, all looks quite well and the colour of your long hair is gorgeous!
Take care Jason and all the best-
Justin le Maggoo~ @-@ (elderly eyes.)
Hey Justin,
Thanks, though you're only seeing a few of the better photos, lol! Those strangly hairs are actually the shed ones coming out from a recent brushing. That kind of gives you an idea though of the shedding that I seem to be still experiencing. Still we both have hair so I guess it can't be doing that much in a negative way to our hair!
Takc care,
Jason
Your hair looks great Jason, despite the summer shedding. I too had the worst shedding ever. May your hair grow back even thicker and fuller than before. Best wishes.
Scott
Hi Jason.
Your hair looks nice, despite what you might think, and it has some nice waves in the middle. As for shedding, I had shed quite some hairs during the summer months, yet my hair did not feel any less. As for the 3-inch cut, I had the same experience back in February, and I did not like it (you probably read about that). Contrary to what your plans are, stay away from trimming till your hair is a few inches pass your desired length, and then cut the extra few inches off. Your hair will be at your desired length, and your ends will be healthy.
Regardless
Sometimes a little patience benefits us all. Your hair will be back to its awesome self before you know it, Jason. Glad to finally see a new update. Hope all is well otherwise. Have a great weekend! =)

Hello Jason,
Glad to hear from you.
So sad that you had to cut, 3 inches is long, for sure.
Are your ends unhealthy ? or just thinner ?
Maybe you could make some compromise between length/thickness to avoid trimming too often ?
Anyway, your hair stays wonderful :)
Good bye,
Vivien
Hello Vivien,
My ends are both somewhat thinner and not in the same condition as the rest of my hair. They are definitely better though than before that summer trim.
I won't be doing anything like a 3 inch trim again anytime soon. I just meant very small trims if I should decide to go that route.
Thanks!
Jason
Hi Jason,
A lovely set of pictures and and some lovely colours and I know you have said Autumn is your favourite time of year.
Is there just a perfect justification for "perfect" straight ends rather than length!
Cheers,
John.B
Hi Jason,
Your hair looks magnificent as always, to bad you still got problems with your hair. Hope that your hair will regain it's former quality soon.
Hi Jason,
Have you tried massaging in a little bit of beneficial oil into the ends at all? I find it can make all the difference in the world. Jojoba oil, Kukui nut oil, Almond oil, or even Olive oil all work very well. "A little dab will do ya!", though, --- if too much oil is used, or if too close to the scalp, it can feel greasy; but, otherwise, I swear by it!
Take Care,
Ken
Hi Ken,
That's a good suggestion. I do have jojoba oil but haven't used any recently. I'll have to try some again especially on the ends.
Take care,
Jason
Thank you everyone! Don't worry, I wouldn't be trimming to lose any significant length. I'm definitely feeling better about my hair of late.
Hey Jason,
I don't know if you'll see this post now but I'm gonna leave a belated reply anyway because I wanted to say that your hair always knocks me for six. It's wwwwwicked. I love the colour. Also, I don't know where you live bit there are some fantastic colours in the trees in Autumn. Amazing!
Take care friend,
Neil
