So, I finally found time (skipping sleep at 3:00 Wednesday morning) in my studies to compose an update. Decided to pop up a few photos (and maybe request an avatar change, humbly of course). So anyways, some useless filler is that I'm now a first year in the University of Alberta, studying Science - Paleontology and working my tail off. Have had a great experience with my long hair (quite a few good comments, including some sneaky strokes. ;) ) Also, experienced my first "Ma'am!" a week and a half ago. Man, the poor clerk must've been confused when I turned around laughing and beaming, 'cause it made my day! I've really liked the way it has turned out, and haven't cut it once, and I'm gonna wait 'til December to do a trim, for my trip back (I don't want any splits). Anyways, that's enough yammering, here are the pics:
Front, how I prefer.
Front, how it turns out. lol
Length pic.
"Cousin it" (not my costume).
Coming up from behind.
Side, as I prefer.
Side as it ends.
My "formal" ponytail. Or stallion-tail...
Tail - side view. Not bad.
Tail, from the tail end.
All in all, I just love my hair. Thanks so much gy=uys, comments/concerns always welcome. Even you hair-hating trolls ;).
As a "hair-hating troll" from San Francisco (LOL), I have only the following comment to say....
"Young man, fold your laundry and clean up your room!!!"
Seriously, though, I could care less about your hap-hazzard piles of clothes in the background of your pics: it's your hair that looks FANTASTIC!!!! I guess I'll have to come up with something else to scold you about, then... Hmmmm... Ah! I've got it! How about this:
"Young man, you're having just too much fun posing for longhaired pics of yourself" (insert wagging finger of guilt, pointing shamefully in your direction), "Now, get back to your studies, --- or it's liver & onions again for dinner for you tonight!"
- Ken
Actually, it's looking pretty good. I have a wackload of sweaters, and they have somewhat collapsed on their own piles, but theyre supposed to be neatly piled. lol. What I get bringing tons of stuff to a small room . . .
Thanks for thekind comments, you troll, you've always been an inspiration for me!
Hope all's well and keep 'er growing!
-Christian Epp
Awesome progress, and your hair turned out great without any trims. How long have you been growing your hair?
Thanks for the kind comments, and catching my blunder!
Awaiting the weekend,
-Christian Epp
Great Hair....Cool Shirt !

Looks great, Christian! You've really taken good care of your hair. Keep up the wonderful growth, and stay well. =)
-James
Thanks, I hope I've taken good care of it! You keep well yourself!
Good luck as finals approach,
-Christian Epp
Your hair looks really great. Wow! Paleontology sounds fun. Now the user name makes sense. You look a little like Shia LeBoeuf in these pictures to me for some reason, with long straight hair, of course.
Shia LeBoeuf, had to google that! lol. Yep, you've scooped my alias/handle. Yeah, I guess I kinda do look like him, thanks!
Hope you keep well!
-Christian Epp
Hi CEEtheDinoman,
What an outstanding update, and your hair is shiny and healthy. Keep up the great growth, and best of luck in your studies! It is great to see people interested in the sciences.
Keep it growing,
David
Hey, you yourself should know science is awesome! Thanks for the great comments, I'll most certainly keep up the hair (and the studies, too!). And hey, maybe one day I'll join that elite secret society you've managed to get into! lol.
From one side of Canada to the other,
-Christian Epp
A great update and the hair is coming along fine and looks in amazing condition. Keeping it growing.
Good luck with your studies.
Cheers,

Cool. Your hair is about my length, although my hair is wavier. As for the trim in December, only do a dust trim.
For future reference, try uploading smaller photos when you do your update.
Matthew aka Regardless
Thanks Matthew! We both started growing 2 years or so ago, right? Can't remember. And don't worry, it'll just be an end to split ends. Just to look good for the folks. Yeah, I'll have to try to remember smaller pics; I've got a huge resolution, so they looks mall.
Keep it growing!
-Christian Epp
Your hair looks great. You know you have reached a milestone when you get mistaken for a girl when seen from the back. (It is not likely to happen to you often due to height. You appear to be over 6 feet tall, although skinny guys appear to be taller than they actually are.) I figured you were studying paleontology due to your handle, I guess I was right.
Keep growing that mane.
Scott
Thanks Scott! You're hair's utterly amazing as always, I'm sure! Yep, paleontology's been my dream forever. Actually, I'm not 6 feet even, apparently about 5'8'' (just measured). I'm really scrawny though, so I'd obviously look taller. Funny thing is, I haven't really gotten too many haircut comments yet!
Keep setting the curve for us,
-Christian Epp
Are you EVER lucky to have hair such as you do. It is absolutely fabulous and the colour is out of this world gorgeous.
I'm jealous!
Best of luck to you as you continue to let it grow.........but be VERY careful of the trims.
Thank you so much, jealousy just makes me beam with pride! lol. Pity I can't grow any facial hair like you, though! Then I'd be set. And don't worry, if I've learned anything from here, it's that barbers = bad but stylists = super! The poin of the trim is to get rid of some splits and shape it up a little bit for my folks back home! Especially my Oma and Opa, who are slightly less than optimistic about the hair. I figure I can at least respect their main concern: that I don't look like a druggie/tramp.
Keep up your hair, too (and it's awesome natural shape!)
-Christian Epp
that is a great mane bro congrads! gotten very long indeed and looks awesome how long you been growing it for?
(n/t)
Great update dude, that long hair really suits you.
BTW I noticed a 'Jesus' poster on your wall, how does being a believer in dinosaurs work with being a christian. Can they both be right, surely not?
Cheers Dave
Very astute! You are correct, I am a Christian and a (future) paleontologist. I personally have a strong faith, and nothing is going to break that, yet I've loved dinos since I was a wee lad. So, for me it boiled down to whether the science was wrong, or the Bible was (in essence). The problem is, neither side was gonna budge. Eventually, I realized that (like in science) I can't just take what I hear at face value, so I did some Biblical research and came to my personal conclusion (wth the help of commentaries and such) that Genesis was written by a stone age man, and I'm sure he couldn't understand complex processes (like the one's I'm currently in the middle of not understanding), so I believe that when the truth was explained to him, it was modified to provide understanding of the major points that mattered to him. The nitty gritty details of my beliefs differ from almost every other creation/evolution side out there, though. Wow, that's big! So in essence, yes, I believe dinosaurs existed millions of years ago (kinda hard to argue) and yes, I believe in Jesus. And I completely understand if people disagree with me because, hey, I'm not God, and I don't know it all!
Hope that answers your question!
-Christian Epp
I totally understand where you are coming from Christian, and respect to you for doing what you believe in. And you know who's to say you aren't right about Stone Age man, nobody really knows. I am genuinely interested in your viewpoint, so thanks for the reply, and like I said great update.
Take care,
Dave
CEE,
Great looking hair...and the m'am stories are always good. As strange as it sounds, they don't realize how it's actually a cpmpliment!!! Good luck with your studies!
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
Growing My Hair Out...Again! Progress Pics
WOW! Yes that was WOW! Your hair looks fantastic Christian. A true longhair now.
Bruce
You have a magnificent mane of hair there! The sort of hair many girls (and guys) would be envious of. I cannot see any split ends anywhere in the photos and it's looking very healthy indeed. And you are one of the more open-minded Christians that I would have time for as you as you come across as INTELLIGENT & thoughtful. Wishing you success in your studies and life.
Kind Regards,
Duncan
