It's been a while since I posted.
Recently my hair got two huge matted/tangled spots at the back of my head, and it bugged the hell out of me. Today after combing and brushing wouldn work, I used my fingers, and after two hours I am tangle free. It makes my hair look so much longer too. :D
3 months to go.... ;)

Cool Phoenix, that is a lot of hair for 21 months. Keep it growing. The tangles is probably caused by shed hairs.

Funny you should say that, I got no-end of shed hairs out when I detangled it.
Also I had gel in my hair last week, and that helped speed up the tangling process. NO MORE GEL!

Wow your hair has grown a lot since the last update.
I suggest to finger comb your hair at least once a day (before combing and/or brushing), and even better everytime after you've been outside. Then it will only take one minute instead of the time it took you now. I finger comb my hair a lot thoughout the day (when I wear it loose), this way I can detect tangles in an early stage before it will become a tangled mess.
hair looks awesome dude! ill be at 21 months next month so im right behind ya lol great job bro congrads!
You have made some great progress, Chris. Keep up the awesome growth! =)

Welcome to longer hairs frustrating moments. Yikes! I KNOW where you are coming from. A way to cut down on the tangles, knots or snarles that can develope is to finger comb and detangle every day without fail which will keep all under control the best of all and in the end take up less time. Going for more than a day, the longer your hair grows the more this is needed to avoid the very severe, but then, every once in a while for whatever reason it may happen anyway.
You have magnificent looking long hair and there is no reason (unless you do not desire to do so) to continue on to waist length or even further.
Great pics and super great hair!
WOOW it took you 2 hours ?? Thank God you got rid of it. i would have fainted.
which reminds... if i had a tangle i would probably end up with a frizz ball trying to untangle it so you're lucky you have your hair type. (which also rises the question what im going to do once it gets longer)
very nice hair and hope you reach you goal :]
Wow, big changes there mate, long hair is really suiting you.

Looking great,Chris, love the dark black color on your hair.Keep growing that awesome mane!Take care!=)
Hi Chris,
What a great update, your hair is healthy and thick, and it is certainly growing quickly!
Keep it growing,
David
You have a great looking mane, Chris. Another MLHH success story. Just superb.
Be sure to keep on top of those tangles. Long hair does require a bit more maintenance. Not combing for several days can cause severe matting and tangling. Grooming daily or every other day will likely prevent this. Windy conditions increase tangling and the need for hair grooming.
Another common cause of matting is from piling the hair on top of the head while washing it. Don't do this.

Wonderful progress!your hair is looking really nice, and sorry to hear about the tangles/mats you were having,i'm glad it was resolved, have you ever tried tangle-free spray and a wide tooth comb?
Hi Chris
Hey your hair is getting soooooo long you little devil:)He He He.Sorry to hear about those knots but you did the right thing to work them out with your fingers instead of taking the easy route and cutting them out.Good Man!!!!!Thats the way I like to see us longhairs take care of such annoying issues.Five stars to you for the pics and deknotting effort:)Cheers my friend....

You're definately rocking those locks! We're about the same number of months along (you're like 3 months my minor) and I'm pretty sure you're gaining! lol. Hope you're enjoying it as much as I! BTW, you still dying (I'm just curious, I'm nothing else)? 'Cause that colour suits you well.
Rock on bro!

Chris,
Great looking hair! Using my fingers helps detangle my hair too. It helps distribute the naturasl oils, I guess. Anyway...your hair's looking awesome...hope you're not gonna cut it in 3 months. I think you should continue growing it.
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
