Kind of a curous thought - do any of you beautiful long haired men ever worry that somewhere, sometime - when you are riding public transport or walking in a crowd or asleep - that someone is going to cut off your gslorious tresses? I worry that someone, even a "friend", might grab some scissors and quickly and irrevocably snip off my braid or ponytail. Anyone else share this phobia? Best, johnnie
Well thats what my brother calls me lol, but when my hair was alot longer, it had just long curls going in a downward spiral and im always afraid my brother will take a pair of scissors or clippers and do the dreaded deed. So whenever im around him i feel very paranoid.
No that's just paranoia!
What. Me worry?
I've heard this mentioned before and for the most part I don't worry about such a thing happening. And if someone tried it you don't get mad....you get even!!!!LOL He He He!!!!!!

Doesn't scare me. People are aware that I wear steel toe combat boots, they don't dare cross the line and do something stupid like that ;)
Sometimes it might vaguely cross my mind, but then I remember:
My hair's so thick that the person trying to cut it would have to grab a lot to hold it up to cut.. and I'd feel that RIGHT away anyway!! :P
I'm not kidding! And if they used regular scissors and try to cut more than 20 hairs off at once, the hair would just bend and won't even cut off at all!! Hairdressers have complained about it quite a bit when I used to go to them.

A boy who sits behind me in some lessons is always playing with a pair of scissors, cutting bits of his own and other peoples hair of. I'm constantly paranoid cause hes already cut one bit of my hair at the back a few weeks ago.
If this guy is cutting other people's hair I'm thinking whoever's in charge of these lessons needs to have a chat with him. In my book that's a form of assault.
This has been discussed on this board and others. It is both civil and criminal assault and battery. The criminal charge varies a little according to where you are.
I have heard that it's not uncommon for long haired men and women to dream about this. My dime-store interpretation is that it indicates anxiety, though not necessarily about hair. Just as those "forgot to go to class all semester and the final exam is here" aren't necessarily about school.

Not really, seeing as my hair is still only a few inches long, but i tend to get rather violent when attacked, and they can rest assured those scissors will be shoved somewhere extremely painful.
I pity the fool... :P
I must admit a couple of times the thought has crossed my mind, but actually it would probably take quite an effort to cut through a tail.

I have a friend who used to sport a ponytail of sorts and on a night out with his workmates one of the boys cut off his tail. Obviously things got a bit out of hand and it took a few bouncers too drag him off. i can certainly understand his actions. I am not normally an aggresive person but if it did happen to me vengence would most definatly be the word of the day

It crosses my mind sometimes but I hope it never happens. I'm not a violent person but when it does happen I think things will get rough.
It's actually happened to me before. When I was in middle school, I had long hair too. This bully comes up to me when i was at a party, and cuts off about an inch off of one of my locks. I was lucky, he could have gotten all of my hair. He just snipped a lock.
If anyone tried that with me, they would be getting a can full of pepper spray in their face.
