Ever been for a slight trim and you look at it and you can see a dead straight edge around it??
I have not had it done but I have seen people who have it.
I think it looks not very good and I would hate it on me.
If I ever went for a trim and they did that, how would I make it look less perfectly straight? Id like my hair to be rough around the edges and not straight. How to you to this? Ive heard light layering around the edges makes it look better and not straight.
Also how to you make the hair hang better, would an undercut help this?
I currently have dead near shoulder length thickish brown straight hair, parted in the middle hanging down. I want to make some decisions on how I finally want my hair.
Have you considered NO trims?
RE!: Have you considered NO trims?
Er..as I said- I havnt had this done but Ive seen it done and I am curious for when I reach my goal length.
I didn't say you had it done. If you want an uneven look wouldn't
just letting it grow give it an uneven look? Anyway, at least you are
taking your time to think about cutting and not doing something
impulsive.
Try to find a stylist you can trust who can razor cut the bottom of your hair. In order for a stylist to safely use a razor so that he/she doesn't cut his/her fingers, you would probably have to have at least an inch taken off. While this may seem like a lot, just make sure you grow your hair at least two months past your goal length. A stylist who is proficient at razor cutting should be able to cut a straight line along the bottom that is not blunt. The hair should "feather" slightly at the bottom, with a properly performed razor cut.
i totally agree with you!
my mom has hair that is at it's terminal length at most of the way down her back. it is quite thin hair, and obviously, at it's longest it is very very thin, but i love it because it looks natural, like her hair grows down and fades out to the longest hair.
she keeps saying she will have the end cut so it does not look so thin and uneven. but i keep telling her no, she should leave it. it looks nicest the way it is.
anyway, i agree. i like it natural and not "chopped off". :)
