I just took these photos the other day. Some days my hair cooperates and some days it just looks bad. I would argue that these photos were taken on a particularly good day, but I guess that's in the eye of the beholder. Still, good days are not as common as I'd like them to be, so I'm asking for some ideas on what to do with my hair to make it look better.
Aside from cut it (too much). I absolutely despise the way I look with short hair, lol. Anyway, here's the first picture. I'll post another to give a better representation. Sorry for the darkness of the images.
a bit to make your hair more visible. Your hair looks good to me. Just let it grow. Increased length will improve the appearance of your hair. Once your hair is several inches below your shoulders, your hair will look good almost every day. Hang in there, things will get better.

Nice job brightening Scott and this was a toughy for sure. I finally gave-up, so here is my "Painted Version." (What a cop-out hiding under artistic license.) LOL :-)
His long hair looks to be coming along just great!

His hair is coming along very well. Hopefully he just lets it grow.
Lightening this image was very difficult. Sometimes it just can't be done while preserving the image. I may try to fix his other photo too.

It was taken the day before. I'm sorry that I don't have more representative pics, but I have very very limited access to cameras so I try to only get the best looking (to me) angles for the ones I get to take :\
I'm thinking about coloring it at some point, but I haven't dyed my hair since I was 11 (8 years ago) so I don't really remember. What do you think it will do to the texture/agreeability of my hair, and will it irreparably damage it?
Your pics may be a bit dark but otherwise represent your hair well.If it were me I'd avoid doing any kind of treatment to my hair at such an early stage of growing out.To make it look better on those bad hair days try experimenting with different shampoos and conditioners to see what works best with your hair type.By hitting the right combination your hair can be very soft and silky but it does take patience until you find the best product.Hope it all works out well for you my friend.

Dude, you look fine. Don't worry. :-)

Not if it's done right. I get my hair dyed on rare occasions (semi-permanent, so it fades out in about a month or two), and though it feels drier to begin with, I haven't noticed any damage in the long run. (But then, I have hair like a Brillo pad naturally, so YMMV. Heck, you might even like what dyeing does to your hair's texture.)

I think it looks awesome man. It's definately in the awkward phase, meaning it's not quite to your shoulders yet. You have sort of a Cobainish cut at the moment and I think it looks great man. I do know what it's like at that length though; you're right sometimes it looks cool and other times mine would either poof out and look like a goomba and other times the bottom 2 inches of it would flip.
Awesome progress so far though man,

The best thing you can do is let it grow more so the weight makes it look better.
Hey SinTacks,
Just grow it, dude. Long hair suits you and your hair will look even more fantastic when it gets even longer. But that's just me...
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
Growing my hair out again!
