Hi! I'm a 45 yr old guy from western Kentucky, who works for The Home Depot. For the past 13 months have stayed away from the hair stylist...Just wanted to post a couple of pics, taken today, showing my progress so far. Really enjoy the site here...It's been very helpful and fun.

Cool hair! It looks great, I like the color, and it is so thick and full! Glad you enjoy the site too. We try hard to make it a nice place.
As for your part of Kentucky, I love how during the winter the hills look, half-covered with snow, the rows of green cedars dividing the fields, icy outcrops of those slate rocks here and there.

Welcome to the LHC, and I am glad that you have found our community! Thank you for sharing your update with us, and you are blessed with a great head of hair, thick and healthy. I am not sure if you have a particular goal in mind, but with your thickness, you should have no problems growing it a lot longer if you wish.

Hello AgentXXL and welcome to the hair board. Based on your pics you'll make an excellent longhair, you have thick slightly wavy hair with a good hairline. To be honest if you stopped right where your at it would look great as that length really suits you. However we want to see if it looks better longer so keep growing and lets find out.
Working at Home depot I see you survived the store closings. They closed the one in Fond du lac WI where I live among others across the country. It's too bad as your company had a better selection than Menards.
Both Home Depot and Western KY are fairly longhair friendly so your lucky in that regard.

Your hair is looking good. To make your hair easier to care for you will probably want to grow it past your shoulders. There is a guy at my local Home Depot with hair to his waist and another with mid back length hair.

Your hair really suits you and I can tell by the smile in your picture that you like it.
Also, it shows the good results you get when just letting it grow. I'm at 11 months growth and not as long, due to not having taken the good advice on here (at first).

Hey, just wanted to says thanks to everyone for all the nice comments. A lot of you have have asked what is my goal length....One was getting past the first year and I've done that. My next goal is to allow it to grow....Seeing it past my shoulders. Looking forward in being a true longhair. Guess it will be okay to have all the bald guys at work to call me a hippy...At least I still have hair and a lot of it, lol! Oh, wanted to show two more pics. The first is from December 2007, just two months into growing my hair out and the other is from Jan 80, at three months. Wow, what a difference 13 months makes.
