I don't know how long this article has been knocking around, but it's not too anti, which is something. The only odd thing is that it tells you never to wear a ponytail!

Well, I felt like it was pretty much an attempt to talk guys out of letting their hair grow out. It read like another one of those "style tips" hair salon things that assumes everyone is obsessed with conforming to whatever is current in fashion and appearance.
I thought they were taking the line that it doesn't suit everyone, of course I don't actually agree with that, but it's a reasonable point of view that some people have.
The bit about Pauly Shore was odd though, as AFAIK he has never had long hair, unless they are redefining long to mean short, but almost mid-length, LOL!

OMG! Well, I wouldn't say there was any problem with his hair ...

Well, there are a lot of people for whom "long hair", at least on a dude, means "hair that can cover the ears completely"--not even shoulder-length. I guess it would make sense that people who subscribe to the status-quo-ante conventional outlook would think that. (Certainly Pauly Shore's c.1990 style would've been considered long in 1967 or so.)
