ive been getting down on how my hair has been growing for the past 13 months. i wish it was just straight or wavy but its all thse combinations thats been pissing me off. does my hair look normal or do i look like a fool here are my pics...
Hey Nirv, your hair is looking very fine...you are just where you should be at 13 months. With time gravity will make your situation better...although I like your fullness/waviness. Keep strong and let nature take it's course.
Cheers,
Max
You don't look like a fool.
Actually I have the same issue. Most of my hair has a very gentle wave, except along the front hairline where I have almost spiral curls. And the right side wants to curl in the wrong direction sometimes (where it sticks out from the head).
Looks like you're not that far from getting out of awkward.
Chris
Fool? Ha! No way man in a million years! At 13 months one cannot really judge just how it will turn out in the end as it hasn't grown long enough..........but this is true of us all.
Your hair DOES look "normal" and of course very well except to its' worst critic, ie: yourself. I think many of us always are like this when growing out their hair.
My prediction minus a crystal ball: Your hair when longer is going to straighten out a whole lot as gravity eventually takes over and be mostly straight with a nice wave to it as if it is a bit in motion.
Best of luck to you as you let your hair continue to grow.
Hi Nirvanafan,
Welcome to the hyperboard, and I am glad that you have joined our community. There is nothing wrong with your hair at all, and what you are going through right now is what is known as the "awkward phase". With time, and increased length, gravity will take over, and your hair will be straighter than it appears now. So hang in there, and keep it growing!
Welcome aboard,
David
13 months is a good start, at the 2 to 2 1/2 mark, I think you'll start to like the way your hair looks.
Frank
It will look super within a few months. Let this stage pass its like growing your teeth when you are a baby. Its a bit tedious but in time they are part of you.
Keep it growing =]
Check out my 7th grade pic. It was the first year my mom let me grow out my hair. That thing sticking out of the back of my head is a piece of hair. Seems like everyday it wanted to do something crazy.
The other is about 10 years ago. In that pic it had just been grown from a mullet and was finally the style I wanted.
Trust us when we say don't cut it it will get easier to deal with. The longer it gets the more it settles down.
Good luck,
Paul
There is nothing wrong with your hair, just grow it out more and it will get better and better.
Everybody's hair is different so you can never expect your hair to be wavy or straight just love it the way it is.
It looks fine, you are entering the awkward stage and this is the point that many give up - DON'T, another year and you will love it.
Cheers Dave
thank you to all for your support ill definitely keep it growing.
