Hello Everyone,
I am now packing my bags and returning home from an 18 day vacation in France. My boarding pass is printed and I had a great time in France, visiting Tours, Nice, Brest and Paris. I am at my cousin's house in Paris where guests will come for a final lunch before heading to the airport. The computer is the last thing to pack.
I did gain a few pounds, for the food is great, and varied. I had invitations from college friends, and relatives, friends I made through giving conferences about autism.
Have a good day,
Georges in Pierrefite (a suburb of Paris)
Au revoir Georges and have a safe flight home and I home you had a great time in Paris.
Cheers,
John.B
To bad time always flies when your away, but when you're home you've got the pictures and the memories of a great trip.
I was in Paris for a few days in 1991 - that is before the Linux Era. One of the highlights was a ride in the driver's cab on a TGV (French high speed train) from Gare du Montparnasse to Tours and back. Standing just a few feet above ground while moving at 200 mph is a little bit weird... Of course I visited some of the landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower, the Versailles palace, the Latin District and so on.

WOW Georges you really went all around France. I'm glad you had a good time those kinds of vacations are memories to treasure for a lifetime. Unfortunately the most I saw of France was A restaurant in the town of Audruicq, the ports of Calais and Dunkirque, and the A16. Oh yeah and the Hypermarket at Boulogne.
Where all the Brits go to load up on booze.
Take care
Kevin

Glad to hear you had such a great time!! :D
Hello Everyone,
I am now jetlagged, but went to work anyways. Paris was a great town, and I did see an increase in longhairs amongst the student population and some adults my age as well. Mentalities seem to have changed a lot since the military service was abolished.
I am including another huge statue of Molière, which is part of the Molière Fountain, on richelieu Street. Moppography is very frequent in Paris.
Georges
Now that's a great statue, a longhair work of art.
Kevin
Looks like Molière had a great head of hair himself. :)
