During the weekend I have commissioned the new Dell server that I bought a couple of weeks ago. The new server is clustered with another Dell machine. I have still to run a few fail-over tests. The two Dell machines (see the pic) run in tandem and if one of them is shut down the other one takes over automatically.
There are six computers in my basement, but two of them are going to be retired.

Another picture, taken while the disks on two nodes of the Dell cluster were being synchronized. I was checking the progress of the sync process.

That's some impressive computer system you've got there even though a lot of what you are doing is like Greek to me.It would be great if I was better at dealing with computers but I always seem to muddle thorough the best I can.Oh and very impressive pic of your mane too!Cheers

You are sure are great with computers. The only thing I am really good with is Excel. I needed a lot of calculators for things, so I really needed to learn Excel. I wrote a very extensive program for orbital velocities of planets, stars, and asteroids. I wrote an amortization calculator that shows 200 different comparative interest rates side by side, and many others.
By the way, your hair looks fantastic.

Wow and I thought we had a lot of machines and these are only the
two main ones. Each a terabyte which back when we built the
system was impressive but not so today with 500 gig drives
relatively cheap and everywhere.
Anybody need an old monitor? Now we've all gone flat screen these are antiques. LOL
Mountain Dew, Chips and Computers, "I'm ready to Take Over The World or just havin fun.

You beat me when it comes to storage - I have about 750 GB (.75 TB) total on my disks. About 150 GB are mirrored partitions (for redundancy, if a disk goes bust I have the mirror available), so the total is about 600 GB, distributed among 9 systems.
I have a basement full of them too - even after I gave some of them away. I have also an antique Digital VT100 terminal.

Great set of machines, I currently own 4 pc's one for normal desktop work. My laptop for school. The other two are just for fun, mediacenter and to test things.
Are you one of those guys that can hack into the government using a cellphone?
