greetings to everyone
my hair is basically curly and wavy and has the usual problem with cowlicks when going from short to long hair.
now when it grows out it resembles Pauly Shore on a bad day(no offense intended)
what I want is long sleek hair much like the hair I've seen on supermodels
now, many times when I went to a so-called "hair stylist" and tried to explain to him/her what I wanted I get the "unfortunately, there isn't much we can do with your hair due to the type it is", but I've seen some makeovers of women with hair that makes mangy dog's hair look beautiful by comparison and go to sleek looking long hair and very little was taken off the length to achieve this effect.
what products would you guys highly recommend and what would you say to the stylist since some trimming is probably required to achieve the look I want?
any specific styling tips including hot irons would be also greatly appreciated.
thanks
To get a more sleeker look just wait for your hair to grow longer, it will hang down more.
I suggest now to mess with your hair a lot as it will damage it, just try to love what you have. It took me a while before I realized this but now I love my hair the way it is.
If you do decide to use the straigtning iron try to use it sparingly.
The best way is patience and no scissors!
As it grows it will gain weight and settle naturally. Don't cut it that just sets you back and improves nothing, For curly the reward is hugs it responds well to this.
No need to straighten or mess about with chemicals.
