hey guys,
Its been ages since I posted. I am growing my hair out for the third time. Its been about a year since I started from pretty short. Its a challenge because I am in a very conservative career. But so far, so good.
Like everyone, I go through days where I question growing it, but also have moments where it seems like the only certain thing in my life. Yeah I know that sounds a bit extreme, but having it long just makes me happy on a very basic level.
I am in a relationship and my other half is not fond of it at all, but at least showing restraint in the disapproval department. I hope to get it mid back if not longer.
So...I am posting a pic and hoping for encouragement. My tail seems decidedly smaller than the last time I grew it, but when it is down, its pretty full. I have very fine hair so it compacts considerably but I also have lots of natural body. I will try and post a pic of it down sometime soon.
Thanks for your support. I love reading about everyone elses experiences and admire all the long hair you guys are able to grow and maintain. Keep it up!

I applaud you for following your desire to grow it. I know the feeling, it's just something you feel is right and eventually you decide that everyone will just have to accept it.
I am certainly glad to hear you are in a conservative career, I feel there are a lot of "closet longhairs" out there who just don't dare do it. I can't imagine how many doctors and lawyers would suddenly sprout a ponytail if it ever become ok to do so. I consider you courageous.
I have never (to my knowledge) been denied a job because of my hair but I'm in construction and thats one field where your skill out ways any fuddy duddy ideas about hair.
I have a feeling you other half will come around once they figure out just how much it makes you happy.
