Hi I realise that it has been rather a long time since the last time that I posted on this lovely board of fellow longhairs but I thought I would return and say hello and post a little update and see how everyone is currently doing.
Unfortunatly over the course of my long absence I have had short hair by my standards although I tend to go about half a year between cuts these days. My job that i'm doing essentially forced an edict on me forcing me to cut my mid-back length hair to medium in between length. I thought i'd post some recent shots so that those who maybe interested can see what i've been up to. Comments or critiques are always welcome!
Hi Ace
I have to say it seems like forever since I can remember a post by you and then to learn that you cut your hair was a real downer. That web cam pic, from what I can tell, leads me to believe you lost a significant amount of length. It just POs me when employers try and take advantage of young guys that chose to have long hair. You tell me that if a woman was to have your job then she'd have to cut her hair!I think not.If this job is not really career related it would have been easy to just go elsewhere for employment. And even if it was what can possibly having longhair do to prevent you from doing your job.Really sorry to hear that another longhair bites the dust.I'm not ranking on you my friend just the who thing with our corporate weenies who we have to bail out as out late since they can't run a business without driving it into the ground. And they have the gall to make us cut our hair!No Justice:(

Hi Ace,
This kind of crap is exactly what I'm up in the air about. Your job forced an edict on you to cut your hair. The local school forced us to trim our son's hair.
I found out we have a lot of unvoiced support, the way I figured this out is by flat out asking them, "What do you think about the school hair policy. Only a few said they agreed with it.
I wish you'd tell your boss to stick it, maybe he's bluffing. If you are an excellent employee you may even win this.
Stop the hair nazis,
Paul
Get the ACLU up the school board's **s. School boards have limited budgets and can't take on big lawsuits. So they might cave. If you try to sue individually you might loose which is why you want the ACLU they got the resources for a protracted fight.
Again all this conformity crap got restarted with the Columbine shooting. Long hair was quite common when I was in grade school in the seventies.

Thanks,
During a conversation with the high school principle (not the elementary hair nazi principle) about hair he said that some parents connect the Columbine shooting to longhair. I saw those boys pics and every school shooting before and after, one thing in common, short hair!
Even more ridiculous still is that the first ever school shooting was done by a board member!
ACLU? I'll check that out.

With all due respect, it's been going on a lot longer than that. I think it really started in earnest around 1990--hair codes, "zero tolerance", etc. I know it seems like a small thing to fight for what with all that's going on, but (ahem) if not now, when?

Damn Right!!!

Its bad when things like his happen, as Mark said if it was a girl then there would be big trouble. Luckily I'm in a different position, when I jokingly say I'm going to cut my boss says "don't you dare" :-)

To bad you had to cut your hair, but at least you've got a medium lenght.
Hey, Crimson_Ace. It's a shame you had to cut it. I like that wild, rebellious look of your hair when it's longer.
Don't be a stranger to mlhh, and keep it growin' and flowin'. Happy holidays.

Hey CA! Good to see you on the site again. Shame you had to cut your awesome hair, but hopefully you'll be able to regrow it again sometime soon. Hope all is well otherwise. =)

Thanks very much for the kind words James, I have a massive self esteem problem when it comes to the length of my hair. Thankfully It's a better length than it was when it was cut. Hope you are well ^_^ x
