All of a sudden I have these weird short hairs of all different lengths coming from my hairline, that keep randomly poking out. I swear those weren't there a few days ago. You can hardly tell in the picture but its getting annoying, they stick out even worse when I tie my hair back. I'm getting tempted to cut those little suckers. Or should I just wait and see if they grow?
No need to cut. When the hairs first begin their growth cycle they appear this way. They WILL grow, and they will end-up looking like the longer hairs do now. Had it been the base of the neck area, then this would be another story.
Ah, that's good to hear Justin. Thanks.
They might be sticking out because of the colder weather and the static electricity in the air now, whereas when it was earlier in the fall, this wouldn't have happened.
Don't cut them. They'll grow back, and you'll just have to cut them again. I think it'd be rare for those hairs to actually have a terminal length of just a few inches. If they bother you, a little water at the start of the day may be all you need. If that doesn't work, try just a dab of hair gel. I haven't had that problem for years, but when I was growing out I used generic drugstore gel. By the time the bottle was empty, I no longer needed it.
Yep. Normal, I had the same but now I can't tell any difference. There will always be shorter hairs as they drop out and regrow.
Don't worry about it at all.

Like others said this is normal, not all of your hair is the same lenght because you shed hairs which grows back.
Read the article from bill (on being a longhair) which explains this and other things with more detail.
You can find this in the link section.
DONT CUT!!!! I have been growing my hair for about 10 years now (although it has been maintained at a certain length for years) and I still have those.
When a hair falls out (be it because it reached the end of its life span, or because it was pulled out) it will be replaced in the exact same spot by another hair. What you are seeing is the new hair starting its journey to becoming a very long and beautiful strand.

I really appreciate all the feedback, thanks everybody. I just realized that there are hairs like that all over your head, but the ones in the front are just the easiest to see. So I definitely won't be cutting those hairs.
Oh no!! it's the never ending awkward stage.
LoL JK
Yeah that's normal you will always have hairs of different lengths I wouldn't give it another thought.

I have the same problem. It's ugly when I tie my hair. What can I do to hide them? My hair grow since like 5 years now and I never had this problem before.
