Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank every member of this community for being helpfull toward us the new long hair guys and before posting the pictures I will post my story with long hair :) ..
Im 19 years old guy who live in a country in the middle east called bahrain, when I was a kid I always tryed to grow my hair long like the guys from the movies aka bruce wallace in braveheart but due for being in puplic school I was not allowed, and by time even though the idea didnt left my mind and I got influenced by many things like the pictures of the holy men with long hair but still with the strong and serious face like this one

and by metalhead frinds which I knew them from the net but still nice guys and ofc I liked their long hair and their music.
In my second semester in the university I had a problem with teh staff, as guys with long hair were not allowed to walk in the university I didnt know what to do, my hair was not long enough to be in pony tail or even braids, and by mistake I found out a way to solve this problem, by doing a small pony tail then put it on the top of my head then use some iron clips to hold them their and wear a cap to hide any hair that want to go out, its great till now but duno what will happen as soon as my hair get longer hehe
so anyway here are my pictures and sorry for the bad quality as I taked them with my phone.

I comb my hair kinda daily and I use shampoo only with a small amount as my hair is a bit oily.

Very good progress, Argale! You have some nice length for that amount of time. Keep it growing, as your hair looks extremely healthy. Better a bit oily than a overly dry. Keep it growing and stay well. =)

Hi Argale. Your hair looks awesome, and I like the waves in the hair near the ends. You probably have some of the best looking style for long hair on men, to my point of view. It is a nice thing you have left public school, and it is a good thing you found a way around the issue with the university. I also was inspired by long haired men for most of my life, long before I decided to grow out my hair. In fact, I attempted to grow out my hair during my high school and did not gain a single millimeter of length. My current attempt is my second attempt on growing out my hair.

I remember that you are from Iran and just studying in Bahrain, right? Maybe when you complete your degree and return to Persia, you won't have any problem with your hair length. How much longer have you until completion?
Since you posted the pictures of holy men, and if you want to talk about that, according to Islamweb.net:
"There is no harm for a Muslim to keep long hair, and his hair should be like the hair of the Prophet. Al-Baraa' narrated that the hair of the Prophet used to reach down to his shoulders and ear-lobes. However, if a Muslim keeps his hair long, he should not do so as a fashion, or as a lack of manliness, or to imitate dissolute people and the like. One must also wash it, oil it, comb it, etc. The Prophet said: 'Whoever has hair, he should care for it.' [Abu Daawood]. Allaah knows best."
Thank you for your kind words bro, and actully im persian but I live in bahrain not just for studying as my family immigrated from iran so I will stay in this country for a long time hehe, and not exactly sure but I think long hair men got more troubles in iran due to the public acceptness which its soo big comparing to bahrain, bahrain is more open country not an islamic country where you can see forbiden things almost in most of the country.
And you are rigth bro, long hair is not forbiden for men as all teh holy men and prophetes in the past had long hair( as I think ) but due to the public short hair become the standard for men and long hair for women, I hope one day people will wake up from their shellownes so we can live our life normally.
Nice to know there's at least one Mideast country that's a little more enlightened in these matters. Still, I applaud your guts--I wish I'd had the same when I was 19!
