My wife was always telling me about the fact that one of the most important milestones for a man with very long hair is to be mistaken for a women especially from the back. It so happened that we had a common family get together on the evening of December 21. My wife always had a preference for frequent trimming for her , eventhough she did not insist on the same for my hair. On the morning of 21st Dec, she had her hair trimmed by a few inches to coincide with the U cut and she also requested me that i let my hair down for the party. She suggested that instead of the Pony tail which i sport normally, she helped me into the three strand braid and it was really wonderful experience for me also as my hair got a lot of attention and appreciation. Some of the relatives told my wife that in fact they mistook me for a women especially from the back. My wife much to my surprise was very happy and said that this is important milestone for a man who wants to grow his hair long. Myself and mywife enjoyed the attention on my hair. My sons class teacher also complemented me for the length and maintenance of my hair.
Congratulations on your milestone, vivek. I hope you and your family have a very Happy New Year. Keep it growin' and flowin'.

I agree. Vivek, I've seen you post on various forums about all the styles your wife supposedly does your hair in. But this is the only picture you ever post (and it's not a very clear picture, which does not show the length, etc.)
How about at least one picture sometime of one of these styles?
I have been called ma'am when I had short hair. I am 57 & 3/4 and wear a hair barrett. I've been growing my hair since June '07.
I've always been fascinated by how much we make of being mistaken for a woman. I can't honestly say I got any kind of thrill from the first time I was called Ma'am. Perhaps for so many it must validate them as a longhair. Very interesting if you think about it.
