7 years after a flat-top!
I just can't even imagine you with a flat top, Steve. Growing it long was a very good choice, and you have gotten stellar results. Your hair is gorgeous. It looks like it is still getting longer. Great update. Keep it growing for sure.
Scott
Sorry I don't have any pictures of it. Thanks.
Look at all the waves in your hair. My hair is pretty much going to be like that when it gets long enough.
Matthew aka Regardless
Could be. It's hard to predict what it will do. Yours looks like it might be a bit wavier.
Steve, Simply stunning!
peace, jonalbear
Thanks!
Hey Steve, now that's an inspirational new year post! Your hair is stunning...wow! Hope you have a great 2009 and thanks for the inspiration! Cheers,
Max

I can only wish my hair would get that long!! Where were you
hiking? Very beautiful scenery.
It's big basin state park, Santa Cruz county, CA. This is the coastal part. There is an entrance right be the beach. The large redwood trees are further inland.
wow, your hair looks AMAZING man!!
deff. inspires me to keep growing mine out!
Glad to know I can "inspire" somebody.
Very inspiring, Steve ! Thanks for sharing !
You look pretty good yourself there. Hard to tell how long it is from your picture.
Steve, your hair is absolutely breathtaking!Truly an inspiration even for me with my longhair already.Great shot BTW of what can be called "traveling longhair".It was great to see that hair live and in person last year:)Steve, thanks for posting your pic my friend. You Rock!!
Mark
It was cool meeting you last year too. I was just thinking the other day that there hadn't been a longhair meetup for a while. If you're ever out this way again, just let us know and we'll get together. There's so much to see out here and you've probably only seen a small slice of it.
Awesome Mane! I like to wear my hair loose also when hiking, makes one feel even closer to nature.
Like you, I grew out from a very short haircut, and it'll be 7 years in July.
Don't know about where you live, but here in the Northeast I found out the hard way that a longhair has to keep clear of tree sap.
Karsten
I have to wear it loose when hiking. If I wear a tail, it tangles into a big clump.
Wow! I didn't know you ever had a really short cut.
There were pines, but they were not sappy. The scrub manzanita and oak were more of a problem. They kept pulling at it as I walked by. I definitely washed it last night, since it was due for a wash anyway.
Looks great, Steve!!
It appears you and I are at a similar length (not accounting for any differences in height)
Jim
Thanks. I didn't know yours was that long.
Awesome!
So impressive and looks great!
BRAVO! :-)
Thank-you very much. Yours looks great too.
Wow, fantastic hair! It also looks like you're still enjoying the magnificence of California's nature.
MB
Thank-you. Yes, there is still so much to see here. I haven't even been to Yosemite yet.
Great looking head of hair Steve!
Happy 2009!

Thank-you. I like your new avatar pic.
Hi steve,
Thank you for sharing this inspirational update with us, and your hair is so thick and healthy, and what an amazing length1 Hopefully, one day I might have the opportunity to meet yoiu, if I ever get to the west coast.
Keep it growing,
david
Just let us know what you're up to, and we'll be happy to have some kind of meetup. If you decide to come to Norcal, September and October are really good times to visit here, weather wise.
Well done a truely amazing head of hair.
Cheers,
John.B
Well it's definitely not flat anymore.
Where were you guys hiking at??
Kevin
This is the coastside area of Big Basin state park, northern Santa Cruz county, CA.
Great hair and awesome scenery as well ... Looks like something out of LOTR..
Peace ..
Tristan
Beautiful Steve; keeps me motivated.
rob
Looks awesome! Great length. You've been growing your hair for 18 months more than me, but you've got about twice the length. Way to go! Keep it growing!
Wow, your hair looks amazing! I love how it has small, but lots of waves, and the different colours of it too.
Thanks. It had better color when I was younger, but alas I couldn't deal with growing it this long back then. I wonder sometimes what it would have looked like.
Excellent!!
Bruce
Thank-you all for the wonderful replies. I started to get carpal tunnel!
Wow!! amazing hair Steve, and great photography from Rick.
cheers Dave
Fantastic hair, Steve. I'm proud to say I know you personally. Keep it growin' and flowin'.
