Alright, nearly a year, and my hair is just about chin length. As far as I can tell, the hair is still very health and in good shape. I missed my 10 month update due to lack of a working camera, but I made up for it with some crappy photos. lol :)
Some days I really like my hair, others, it just doesn't look so good....... I don't like it when it lies so flat on the top of my head, it looks lifeless and dead. I also don't like how the ends seem to want to flare out. I'm assuming this is because my hair is just long enough to be getting messed up by my collar / coat? Any recommendations to fix this, or just wait until my hair is longer?
8 Month Update, detecing early hair damage? [PIC]
Lookin good man!
About your hair flaring out near the collar, i am going through the same thing (everyone does), its just because the hair is heavy enough to lay down, but it will when it gets longer, so just have patience and it will get better!
Really good for 11 months!
Keep it up.

This is really good progress for 11 months, and your hair looks very health and smooth to me.With this thick head of hair you will undoubtedly be able to grow it to the floor!Take care, and keep in touch!=)

Hi Raverix,
I have thick hair as well, and also went through a stage where the ends would flare out and not look so good. That could mean either it's hitting your collar/shoulders, or you have wavy hair. As your hair gets longer, the ends will settle down a LOT and it'll look great. I'll include a couple of pictures to show you my hair.
My hair used to lay flat as well, but I've started combing it differently. Instead of just combing downward, I comb the hair at the front toward the back/side of my head. Experiment with that, and it might help you out.
Cheers,
Peter
Here is a quick progression of my hair that I just made. The pictures are Feb. 2007, Feb. 2008, and Nov. 2008. The 2007 picture was taken on a "good day", and at an angle that hid most of the ends that flipped out. It normally didn't look that alright, haha.
The Feb. 2008 picture, I had started doing ponytails but you can see that although the ends wave, they stay a bit flatter. Most of the time.
Then the Nov. 2008 picture, I can now braid my hair and this keeps the ends pretty flat. They still wave, but now they wave down my back instead of out of my back. :)
Hope this helps and keep it growing! Your hair looks great.
Peter
that face looks to be so famaliar. Just can't seem to place it. Too many "pixels" in mee elderly eyes.
Nice progress, btw

Hey, Raverix. You are still going through the awkward stage, but your hair looks great! Just keep it growin' and flowin', and everything will come out fine. Just don't cut it!

Hi Raverix,
It was fun just to go back in time to when you first decided to grow out your hair after getting your new job.Now after going back to the future I can honestly say you made the right decision.I wouldn't get too hung up on the bad hair days as even us longhaired veterans have those from time to time.In your case its probably just the awkward phase nearing its end but just not quite there yet.So just hang in there and by two years you will be sittin' pretty my friend.Cheers
Mark
Yeah, I'm quite amazed at the transformation myself. Sometimes I haven't recognized my own reflection... well, maybe I'm just a little slow processing, who knows? Going back and looking at my short hair photos, I look like a different person.
It looks like there may be some layers in the back. Just let them grow out and those flips will disappear. Lookin' good otherwise!
Keep on growin'!
Bruce
Looking really good!
For what it's worth, I feel your pain--mine does the same thing, even flaring out to the left and right bouffant-style. This is a pic from a couple of months ago. I think the waviness contributes to that effect too.
Chris
Your hair looks really nice, mine does a similar thing, in the way it flares out at the side. I've read it needs to be longer for the weight to pull it down.
Hey Raverix, you are right on schedule with your growth and it's looking good! Time, added length and gravity will solve your issues, just keep going.
Cheers,
Max
Looking great there Raverix, it suits you very well and it does look very healthy. Cool!
