I was on here a couple of months ago worried about the thinning I'd been having in my hair. It had always been pretty thick but in the last year and a half it just started looking and feeling a lot thinner. Getting out of the shower I could see my scalp easily and it just isn't a good feeling. I want to know that it is still growing and new hairs are coming through.
Was recommended Propecia which I've heard great things about but thought before I try the drugs maybe a natural suppliment like Provillus could be worth a try? It seems to have great reviews and the few people who don't like it I think are balding badly and looking for a miricle cure where as I'm just experiencing some general thinning. Does anyone else here use provillus and if so is there a chance this could work well for me? It comes with the minoxidil topical solution could that be worth using as well even tho I don't have a particular area of hair loss? This is a photo of my scalp it just looks a bit too thin for my liking
My hair was exactly like yours. I began taking Propecia and used Rogain as well. It took nearly one year to get very good results. After one year I got on Avodart, which in my opinion works even better than Propecia, but is very pricy. Propecia is about $72.00 per bottle and Avodart is around $120.00 per bottle. Each bottle contains 30 pills. The important thing to remember with hair loss is that time is of the essence. Once the follicle is too far gone there will be no bringing it back. If you do try products that are not FDA approved you will risk permanent damage to your follicles should they not work and most will not. I would strongly suggest that you only consider drugs that have been approved by the FDA. Minoxidil is in many products and does not require a prescription, however, you can get generic Rogain at Wal Mart for just a few dollars. Only use 5% minoxidil.
Good luck and remember not to wait around too long.

Read link below, then read Jeffrey's post, if you haven't already. Finally, see a doctor to make sure it truly is male-pattern baldness. Hypothyroidism and Osteomalacia can cause similar loss/thinning, and can be easily corrected. You would want your Vit D and T3, T4 and TSH levels checked. Especially suspect a medical issue if you have any rashes, increased dandruff/dermatitis, sensitivity to heat/cold, sluggishness/fatigue, and hair and nails also appear to be dry and brittle. If a medical check-up rules out any medical problems, you can go with the FDA-approved DHT inhibitors. As Jeffrey states, you don't want to waste time on placebos/snake oil. The sooner you begin using the approved DHT inhibitors, the better your overall results.
Read this.
Hello. Sorry to hear about your hair issue. I honestly don't think it is male pattern baldness, as you seem to have thinning all over your head. I know one girl in my school who has nearly the same problem, although it's a girl.
Maybe you should consult a doctor or do a check-up, to find the origin of the issue, before trying expensive remedies.
Good luck,
Vivien
Don't waste your time with Privillus. Like Carol's link stated, it's basically a glorified Rogain and wioll just burn a hole in your pocket. I take propecia and it works awesome; I assume your young which would be to your advantage, I'm 24 btw. You can get generic propecia online for less than $1 per pill. I however take the official Propecia from Merk but if money is the problem, look into the generics but be careful with what you find on the net. Good luck and seriously, I reccommend Propecia.

Thanks for the advice guys. To Phil and Jeffrey did you find any side effects with Propecia I hear that sexual drive can be effected :)
I think I'll go to the doc and see if I can get some tests done first
No problem man, when I first started taking it, I had very mild mind-fog but that's faded for sure. Other than that, just regrowth of hair ; )
