Hello guys, you people probably don't remember me. I used to complain about my hair, specially when I went over to an interview sometime ago. In case some of you don't know, I got the job. And I've been working as a full time web developer for the last 6 months.
Anyway, the tips of my hair seem a little weird, and I've been thinking about getting a little trim doing it myself, but I have no idea how to. Do you guys have any tips, I don't know, maybe a manual or an instructional booklet :p on the subject of how to trim the tips of one's hair?
That'll really help me out, Thank you again. Nelo
Heres my most recent pic, like 75secs old. ^^
BTW, I just noticed my hair went from a buzz cut to a little more than a foot long in two years two months. So I guess that most mean I must wait two more years to go waist long.
Bring it on, I ain't cutting my hair.
hi nelo,
welcome back to the board! i'm new here too. i recently trimmed the ends of my hair by adapting these instructions:

I wouldn't trim it myself. You need to find someone that you can trust with long hair. I tried a "self trim" and ended up losing a few inches. They told me to get just a fraction of an inch trimmed off the ends about every 4 months and this way I can have long hair without the splits. The split ends were ruining my hair. Be sure to tell them that you only want a little taken off and that your objective is to have long hair.
Anyway, looking good there!
Good luck.

Sure. Try some spray-in conditioner for a while and most probably this should do the trick unless you have a load of Split-Ends. If this be the case Target and destroy, meaning: find ea. split and with very sharp sissors cut just above the split.
Stay away from Flat-Irons always by the way. :-0
Good luck.
Well if the ends are only a little weird try and hang with it for a while before you go near the scissors.
Looks good otherwise.

Yeah, that's basically what I've been doing for the past six months, avoiding the scissors. But I don't want my hair to grow waist long and look weird.
I also feel that the ends are really fragile compared to the rest of the hair.
You can always trim the ends 'when' you get to waist length. That way you protect the hair behind the weird ends until the big day comes to release it.

Hey, Nelo. I would try to wait before trimming. The longer it gets, the less weird your ends will look. Your hair looks really cool, btw. Keep it growin' and flowin'.
