Okay, my hair is just past shoulder length. It is thick and slightly wavy. If my hair was super straight all the way down I wouldn't mind. If my hair was evenly wavy all the way down I wouldn't care. If my hair was super curly I wouldn't care. But no, my hair hangs fairly straight (just slightly wavy) then it hits my shoulders and it curls up. I hate the way this looks. My hair looks fine then it hits my shoulders and all of it curls up in different directions. I know everyone is going to say it's just natural and I should learn to like my hair, but I'm embarassed to go to school like this.
What can I do to stop this? I used to blowdry my hair and straighten it but I stopped because now it's damaged.
1. Should I wash it at night then just brush it in the morning? Or should I just wash it in the morning?
2. Should I blowdry it down (will this help?) or just let it air dry?
3. How do I need to brush it in order for it to hang straight? When it's wet, the extra wet makes it hang pretty straight and I like the way it looks, but as it drys, the ends curl up and no product will make it hang straight down.
Someone please help me lol!!!
Hi Zach.As for myself I use your plan #1a!I have no time to wash and dry my hair in the mornings so I just do it the night before. However if you have the time doing it in the morning is fine. The longer your hair gets thought the longer it takes to dry.
As for the problem with your hair curling at your shoulders I would say you just need to be patient until it gets longer.Once your hair runs to say your shoulder blades there should be enough weight to pull it straight at you neck/shoulders.Your just at that length in which it hits your shoulders and wants to turn up.Be patient my friend as you will get there.
