Hey guys. Wow, it's been years since I've been here much. Well, I did come and post one or two things a couple months ago.
Well, I had to cut... j/k lol Sorry, just a little morbid humor.
I just had a friend braid my hair recently, and it was a pretty cool looking braid. I'm sure many of you are familiar with it(I'm not! lol) but I liked the look. Ok, I guess maybe I'm being a little vain here, but just thought it prudent to share. I like the photo and the braid, so I hope you all do to. :D
I hope you guys(and ladies) are having a good time with your hair, not being harassed, not having tangles, getting good old yummy scalp stimulation, etc. :)
Have an enjoyable day!
Hi Paddy,
Good to see a post from you and it certainly has been ages since you post and I hope all is well with you.
Thanks for posting an update picture and that's amazing braid you got there and the beard has certainly grown as well. It certainly wouldn't call it vane and you just hsowing you hair in a different way to the world.
Keep it growing mate.
Cheers,
John.B
Hey, Paddy. That is a great looking braid! Don't be such a stranger to MLHH. Keep it growin' and flowin'.

Awww, thanks you two(and anyone who replies in the future). Yeah, I always enjoyed hanging out here, but I guess after a while I get tired talking about hair, just enjoy having it. To a large extent I'm oblivious to how other people see it, social issues, etc, just have it and like it. Well, except with the occasional compliment... they really skyrocket my ego. lol
Actually, as luck would have it, I am sort of looking for a new conditioner, perhaps shampoo. However, I'm sure there have been many posts here about it, and I've visited other forums as well looking for a good, gentle, moisturizing organic conditioner. Of course, if any of you know of any really good brands that you really want to promote, I'll try to maybe check them out.
Also, it's nice to see the new faces here whenever I come back to visit. I love tkj25's hair. It's different than what I'm used to. That type of hair has always bewildered/mystified me, so I'm really curious to see how it grows and how he takes care of it. I don't know how I would take care of the curls, myself. lol Good luck tkj25! Looks great!
aww thanks paddy. that is one mighty fine twist you've got going there:) it's huge compared to the tiny ones i put in my head, lol. love your hair & your album. thanks for checking mine out. i'm anxious to see how long it can get as well. the longest it's ever gotten was just scraping my shoulder blades.
as far as a good moisturizing organic conditioner, you could try:
aubrey organics gpb, rosa mosquetta or honeysucle rose, nature's gate lavaendar & aloe, yes to carrots conditioner, trader joe's nourish spa & aussie moist (not all natural, but still good), karen's body beautiful, hairveda, qhemet biologics ... hope one of these works for you. hhg tkkj25

That's a really sweet braid! Your hair looks great, Paddy. =)

Your braid looks fantastic. You should wear it that way from time to time. Great to have a friend who can put your hair in such a nice braid. longhair511
Hey, you're my hair brother ! Same hair, same color, same red and curly beard :D
Anyway, it's a beautiful braid :)
Bye
Vivien
Hey, you're right! Only, from what I can tell, your beard is a bit thicker, and actually lighter in color.
Well, mine seemed darker when it was just growing out(though that was like eight years ago) but it seems like the lightest hair is at the roots, and then the individual hairs get darker as they go out to the end of the hair(odd)... I realize this sort of contradicts what I just said, maybe. I'm confused. Anyway, yes, your hair looks nice as well. You should totally stop cutting your beard too. Then we'd really be hair brothers! Though your beard could totally beat up mine. lol
I do sometimes see people with this combo of face/scalp hair. Someone with black hair once asked me if I dyed one or the other, because I guess he didn't see how they could be completely different colors. :D
That is a neat looking braid. Have you ever tried braiding your beard? Braided beards are epic.
Thanks. Yeah, I've braided it. I always think of majestic big ol dual one inch thick braids in my beard when I think about how epic it would look. Unfortunately, it more just collapses into a tiny little hook of a braid, curing in, or to the left or something. :( I guess if I just braided parts of it, making little braids withing the main unbraided body of the beard, that would be kind of cool looking. hmmmm Maybe I'll have to try some stuff and post some photos.
On that note, I think one of the other guys here should do that. I can see what I can do, but I know there are some really nice big beards on here I'd love to see braided!
*wink wink* *nudge nudge*
I have no idea how you did that but it looks awesome and very "cleanly" done. Anytime I attempt a braid it looks like crap lol. also my hair is layered so it doesn't come out as nicely. Awesome braid and hair man, thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I'll tell that to my friend who did it. She actually was showing someone else, sort of spur of the moment, so that's why it's not perfect, according to her. I, like you, think it looks great though! If only I could do this by myself...
I have gotten to where I can braid my own, but it's still pretty much a pain, and the results are "ok". I mean, it doesn't stand out as being bad perhaps to most people, but if you compare it with a well done braid, fairly sloppy, and I always end up curving off to one side a bit.
I don't know how long your hair is exactly right now... or riiiight - now! Ok, it probably didn't grow much in like five seconds. Anyway, if it's like the picture, it may be tricky. It's not that it's too short to braid, but having the extra length, for me anyway, makes it easier to manage and hold onto the different chunks as I awkwardly manipulate my arms around my body. Yeah, I can really get flustered. lol
Good luck with braiding it. I think it would look nice. =)
Hi Paddy. Your brade looks nice, and I like the golden color in your hair.

Welcome, stranger. I haven't seen you around for a long time. That is an interesting braid. It looks like a twist braid which is made from 2 strands. I like the combination of hair and beard. Looking good.
Scott
Paddy!
Good to hear from you - it has been a good while.
The rope braid looks great. The beard is really looking nice, too!
- Oren
*gasp* Thank you! I envy your beard probably more than any other beard. It's just right. If I had to pick a beard to have, it would be one like yours. I really do love it. :) So, I am flattered that you actually complimented my beard! lol :D
Hey Paddy, that is one cool braid! Hope to one day have someone try that on me. Your hair/beard combo looks kickass...well done.
Cheers,
Max
Hi Paddy and welcome home!I have to admit that style braid looks ultra cool and quite different from those run of the mill ones.If I had it in me I'd love to try one of those but unfortunately I'm note aware of anyone who could help me:( Well I'll never give up hope:) Take care my friend and do stick around for awhile.OH.... BTW the beard rocks too!!
Mark
Wow what an amazing combo that beard and braid make! Very cool, I'm beyond envious!
Wow Paddy, thats an amazing braid, and I love that beard, well cool mate!

I agree it is a spiffy braid and the beard is looking good as well.
Some great shots on your photo.net page. Awesome mane.
