Hello to everybody!
Some of you might remember me, because my update was... a long time ago, haha! My hair has pretty much stopped growing, nevertheless I'm very happy with the results. I totally like the way it looks, and longer hair would be just weird in my opinion. Shorter hair is out of the question ;-)
Anyway, new pics (old phone).

I am 18.5 years old now, in college, with male bald patterns in the family - so I wasn't surprised with this: http://xs135.xs.to/xs135/09032/007181.jpg
I have always had a high forehead (my grandma says I'm smart), well now I'm smarter than ;-)
I will have my hair cut next year, due to my recruitment (Israeli army). No matter, these years were very fun, and I'll probably grow my hair again! Doesn't mean there won't be any updates though...
Thanks for the support!
Hey Stas,
Great length! Sorry to hear that you'll have to cut it, but at least you have a good attitude about having to do so. Best of luck in your endeavors and stay safe. =)

Should be *then.
Oh, a nice picture of my city's park: http://xs135.xs.to/xs135/09032/image003426.jpg
Hi Stas,
Where is this park located?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petah_Tikva
Thanks for the reply - I knew the park looked familiar. I live in Israel too by the way, but not in Petah Tikva.
Although it stopped growing it's still a nice lenght, probably about the lenght I wille settle for.
To bad you've gotta cut it but you had an amazing experience and can always grow it again.
btw with longhair you can hide the male pattern baldness, so having long hair is a good thing :)
Thanks for the fast replies everybody!
So it's "male pattern baldness" - I was wondering about the proper way to say it.
I didn't even notice you said it wrong :p
Your hair is looking great and suits you very well,Stas, too bad you'll have to shave it off next year, but don't worry,I'll mostly have to do the same thing,as I live in a country where it is obligatory for citizens to recruit for army.Luckily I'll escape it by excessive number of people trying to recruit themselves or for some other reason, but I doubt this will happen,as military people around here tend to call long haired people to serve the army just to shave our heads.Anyways, serving the army cannot be that bad of an experience,as you make many friends and learn to do cool stuff, like shooting a gun and stuff, and you'll hopefully have the chance to regrow your hair sometime.Take care, man, and keep the faith!;)
Hi Stas
Your hair look nice and smooth, and has nice waves near the ends. As for me, having long hair is one of the reasons why I am not going to join the military (although it is not the main reason; my main reason is that I cannot handle massive discipline from someone else). How long are you planning to be in the army? Did you choose to join, or did someone else made you?

Hi,
I am an Israeli citizen. I must go to the army. Actually, people who don't go to the army are considered weird! Although unfortunately this is changing... Unfortunately because I think that it's very important to contribute and defend your country.
I guess it depends where you live - many countries, fortunately, don't need ALL people to join the army. I knew since early age that I'll go to the army no matter what, so I'm kind of prepared, you know...
I will be doing electronics there, because I'm studying electrical engineering (will have to continue after the obligatory service, which is 3 years for men (2 for women)). I won't be on the field because my health profile doesn't allow that. I will be at one of the Air Force bases.
I'm actually willing to stay there as long as I want (with normal salary and sane hours after those 3 years!), but that will depends on the conditions etc etc.
Anyway, that's how it works here...
Was writing fast again. *depend
Also, about the changing view on recruitment: the amount of young people here who don't want to service has been growing for the past few years. They are mostly people who live in the center of the country and aren't aware of the situation close to the borders; people who identify with the extreme left-wing ideologies or simply pacifists who don't want to take any part in the army. In my opinion they are failing to understand that Jews have no other safe place than Israel, and that they are the ones who should keep it a safe place to live at by contributing to its defense - that is the IDF.
WOW and nice, the hair looks great!! And I would not worry about the hair line, mine is actually about the same and it works for me. Take care!
Hi Stas,
Very impressive update :) You have beautiful and well managed hair !
It's sad for the beginning of baldness, but I assure you I wouldn't have remarked this, with all your hair, that's a good point.
Bye :)
Vivien
Nice pictures - Congrats on 4.5 years of growing!

I will say you have a good head on your shoulders and positive attitude. I think maybe your Grandma was right. I hope you decide to grow it out again after your military service.
I wish you luck in the army and also wish you and your countrymen success in the fight to stop the rocket attacks.
Kevin
Thank you, and everyone who has replied :-)
Don't go into the IDF. Emigrate if you have to, or go to jail instead. They are committing many war crimes. Keep your hands clean.
Being kind of a liberal (defined by Robert Frost as "a man too open-minded to take his own side in an argument"), I can see both points. I understand Stas' belief in doing his part, and I can see your point about Israel under Likud. It's plain by now that militarism is not getting Israel anywhere, and yet they can't stand by and do nothing. With all due respect, I also disagree that Israel is "the only safe place for Jews"; I mean, Israel is surrounded by enemies, right? It's not even the *safest* place.
We may hate the people we have to negotiate with, but as someone said, there's no need to negotiate with people we like. As that hard-core Tory Winston Churchill said, "Better to jaw-jaw than to war-war." (And by that time, he was talking about the Soviet Union, a much more formidable enemy than Hamas.) Personally, ISTM the world military has done a fine job of pulling the cultural discourse its way by not giving in on the hair front while we (in the larger sense) knuckle under for any number of reasons.)
OK, end politics.

Very good Stas! It's a shame that you'll have to cut after 4-1/2 years.
Best of luck and stay safe!
