I've seen alot of posts about how long hairs aren't shown in movies and tv (the kid in the crash test commercial wasn't exactly a shining moment for long hairs, though quite funny). While this may be true I remember a show back in 2000 called Witchblade, one of the characters, Ian Nottingham, had long hair and it looked INCREDIBLE! He used to have short hair so you can actually see it grow throughout the show, which I thought was really cool. His hair looked so good that I finally decided to just go ahead and do it. Love the new hair! What about anyone else? What gave you the push to go for the long hair?
I'm about the same age as you are, two years younger. I've been growing my hair for more than four years, and all I did was being lazy about going to the barber and forgetting about the hair, you know... not that I wasn't taking care of it, of course.
I'm sure that there are many ways to make your hair look nice in the awkward stage. Hell, I survived high school during that stage! Instead of thinking of cutting it as a solution, think about other ways to make it look good.
Pretty horrible example, as "Witchblade" continues to be rated as one of the worst, moronic shows ever seen in short-term release.
I've never seen it, but even if the show sucks, the actor could still have awesome hair and be an inspiration to others in that regard.
