Hi,
I have posted a little while back asking about other countries for long haired men, and one of the things that I want to discuss is some countries that I would also like to go to. I know that England and Canada are perfectly fine with long haired men. But one of the things is that I really want to go to Spain. Not it a real big city, something like Leon, Bilbao, north Aragon or something like that.
I heard on yahoo answers that somebody said that you do not have long hair unless... and two of the answers that I have heard was: if you are from Spain, or if you are from Italy. So I just thought from that I had a clue that long haired men are well accepted there in those countries. I searched alot on google for long haired men in Spain and I have searched "Hombres con pelo largo" a bunch but I did not find much at all.
If Spain does have a problem with long haired men there, then my alternative was if Argentina was okay with it I might try that too.
Hi. I have been to Spain before, and I have noticed a lot of long-haired men there. Most of them usually sport Mullets, though.
Cool,
Thanks man. What I really want to do now is become a UPS driver over there in Bilbao or something like that.
When I was in Italy, I didn't note a higher percentage of men with long hair than here in the US; if anything, there were probably a comparable percentage of longhairs there more or less. I was in Rome, Lazio, Tuscany, and Umbria--central Italy. I'm not sure about the rest of the country, the north and south, etc.
There is a show called "Uomini e Donne" that has Serena and Giovanni as the main couple. Giovanni Conversano has longish hair, and this seemed to be a popular length. There are tons of clips of them on Youtube if you search it.
Try a search too for "uomini con cappelli lunghi" or "men with long hair" and see what turns up.
I work often in central Italy ( Marche and Abruzzo ) and it is true that the general public contain a higher percentage of longer haired men than say the UK. This being said the white collar world is still dominated by short hair. I am fortunate that i am an external inspector and so my hair is not really an issue (except for the odd comment from the CEO). If you do plan to move be aware that your hair may become an issue when trying to progress within the company. I must also add that Italy has quite a high level of unemployment with many of the younger generation struggling to find work.
I wish you all the best
Mat
Thanks for letting me know about everything. But what did and why did he comment?

Spain, as most of the Latin countries, do not have problems with long hair in general. European men have a wide range of hair styles and hair styles are not cultish as they are in N. America.
Things like this are rough ( Rough Justice ) due to things being good in some countries and the same thing that are not accepted in others just wish countries could accept everyone as they find them.
Axel
Argentina has a long history of long haired men, especially in soccer
soccer is big with long hair
I would go to Thailand, Asia and I am completely sure that Thais do not have any issues with long-haired men.
Matthew aka Regardless
thank you Matthew, but for one, I do not speak Thai, I do not want to live in Thailand, and I want to get out of the heat also.
Thank anyways, man
