Sorry I haven't been active I am in school now so I can only lurk off and on guys but hope everyones been doing ok but I have a question When you take a shower then lets say 1-2 hours later tie y our hair back in a tail when its still semi wet would that be damaging just wondering?
I end up doing that fairly frequently. It can leave a definite visible 'crimp' across your hair where the tie was until the next time you wash it, but I've never noticed any other lasting effects.

I have a patch of short hair right on top and I believe it broke off from tying it back when wet. I was in the habit of pulling it back pretty tight though.
I'm not taking any chances myself. I wash mine when I get in from work and leave it loose until the next morning when I tie it back.

If you are using a soft tieback, and are carefull to not PULL hair too tight, you should be okay. I have even braided damp hair, with no problems. Wet/damp hair is more fragile, so you don't want to pull it excessively. Just be gentle, and you should be fine.
I concur. I dampen my hair to tie it back anyway, for a neater appearance. It seems that being careful is the key to not snapping or breaking hairs.
Apart from taking away your curls, it doesn't damage anything if your carefull.
