I decided to go with a "no sideburns" look for awhile, but when I shaved them off it was hard to tell when the sideburns end and when my normal hair began. Is the cutoff just whatever I can tuck behind my ears? I didn't take it up all the way to be safe, but now I'm just curious, for those of you who shave the sideburns, where is the cutoff? Thanks!
Be careful ... I have messed up too many time to count and trimmed much higher than intended to "even" each side.
I would say if you tuck it behind the ear don't cut it. I really never could grow decent sideburns, but have learned the hard way about trimming too high.

Thst's good advice Karsten.

Thanks, that's kind of the rule I've been using, but I just wanted to get some second opinions. I feel a little safer just leaving a bit of leeway so that I don't cut too much.
Kat,
Now that I'm STILL looking for a job I like. I shaved the gotee and sideburns off ( so more hair is availble for the head lol ) to look " presentable " at interviews.
I presently shave them right where my ear meets me head
