I just wanted you to share this thing that happened in my University last week.
A buddy of mine that is studying Economy just sued the College because one Law teacher failed him because he didnt let him present the final exam,
The teacher argument was that his hair was not presentable and that its not acceptable for boys to have long hair....WTF like if it was the 40`s or something... so he talk to the Economy department, they just tell him to go through the subject again and dont make a big deal... Well he is now suing the School for promoting discrimination against students.
Personally I think its a very risky move buy I admire him to take such a big action for the rights of all long hairs out there, next week Ill tell you what happened.
Also an opportunity to leave a little update after a month using chamomile tea after shower.

Kudos to your friend for sticking to his guns and fighting this atrocity!What a lame reason to refuse to let him take his exam and setback his studies.This instructor sounds like he needs to take a leave of absence and read up on individual rights!Please do let us know how he makes out with this and an update by you in the process would be great:)Cheers my friend

Im from Mexico City.
The College is a Catholic University, I dont attend there because of my beliefs because Im a all life Atheist (I respect any religion) its because almost all good Universities in Mexico are religious...
I study Communications so there is a lot of long haired teachers and students and the department its really cool with it, but in other departments they are more strict, even if the rules dont prohibit to have long hair some teachers can be a pain in the ass and the department always are behind them...
I haven't talked to my friend but I heard that the school its negotiating a deal so he dont sue the school... Tomorrow I have some dead hours so Ill post what happened...

That's ridiculous!! I don't like your hair, so you're not allowed to take a test?? And then he gets failed for not taking the test. And not acceptable to who?? Who appointed this guy as the arbiter of hair length??

Perhaps in my opinion you have not a teacher, he had been ever write something inportant for USA for her look. Is the same opinion that he uses your "teacher"

I have NEVER heard of something like that happening at a UNIVERSITY!!!
I go to the University of Georgia and there are lots of guys with long hair here, seems to be no problem at all.
Unless it is a private university, I don't see how that teacher had the right to deny your friend his presentation/grade because of his appearance.
I definitely support his actions!
That is just ridiculous.
That's really unfair. Why should all his hard work be wasted? What difference does it make if he's got long hair a or not?
Hi Schultz, the same kind of thing brought me to this board! My son is in the 3rd grade and in the gifted class and the Ass. Principle had the nerve to write him up for his hair.
Since then I have been researching stuff and trying to organize students to fight the hair policy.
I'm surprised that this happened at a University. You simply have to tell us at least what state this is?
As far as him taking a risk, nothing ventured, nothing gained. We all have to stick together on this or the hair nazis may start having more influence than they already do. Make sure to support your friend.

That is totally unacceptable. I'm glad your friend is doing that, I hate hearing about the injustices that long hairs have to go through on a day to day basis.
When the University Dept said to take it over again, did they offer to pay for your fiends credits, books, lab fees, and the unclaimable........ HIS TIME !!!
