For those who missed it, there was a commercial during the Super Bowl for carmax.com that showed a guy trying out a pickup line on someone he presumed was a long-haired woman. After throwing out the line, "Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?" the person turned around and it was a guy. I saw that one coming and still found it hilarious.
I really enjoyed the one with Polamalu (?sp) when the kid offers him the diet coke, it was funny, and he's got a gread head of hair.
Agreed. I wonder how often it gets grabbed at and pulled during games. If I were him, I'd tie it back and stuff it under my pads.
I don't know, but I certainly wouldn't want to tug on his hair, he looks like a pretty big dude. LOL
haha that's true, but so are most of the other dudes in the NFL! i think he has been tackled by his hair once or twice (the NFL considers it to be valid as it is a "body part"), but he says it doesn't hurt.
His hair is fantastic, just gorgeous. He almost certainly has the longest hair in the NFL.
Scott
I thought it was great, and it took me by surprise - a longhair stepping into a totally Super Bowl, NFL-hero spot, and it was not done for making fun of the longhaired guy- it was he was totally stepping into the shoes of (eh, who was that, Mean Joe Green? and doing the hero thing.
Huzzah!
It kinda still plays into the longhair stereotypes as a brute or barbarian. But it is the closest good guy portrayal of a man with longhair.
TV shows are re pleat with longhairs as criminals or drug attics. And if their is a good guy with longhair he's shown cutting it off as if he realized the error of his ways. Like that guy with dreadlocks in "the Dead Zone".
