My hair continues to grow longer with no signs of stopping. Actually, this rather has amazed me, especially considering my age. Hands are placed just above where my belt is located as a reference point as to present length.
---------------------------------------------
your gorgeous super long hair a bit more clearly. Wow it sure is growing. Just lovely. Are you now taking biotin and MSM? These help to grow hair to maximum length. I take these now and my shedding has dropped to almost zero. Grow it to your knees if you can.
Scott
Hey Scott
Thanks for making the image brighter and as always for your kind words. I take not one thing nor ever have for my hair. I am convinced ALL is luck of genetics.........either that or insulin is somehow holding this living fossile together. LOL :-)
Take care Scott.
Justin~
ps: Took this photo yesterday atop Ecola State Park looking down towards Cannon Beach. Was just beautiful there and I didn't even need a jacket. Located about 40 miles south of Astoria and perhaps Walter may have swung by this on his trip out here last Summer. (Me thinks he liked Astoria alot.) I can hardly blame him one single bit.
THAT shoreline is beautiful. wow!
OP, it looks like you've got really great hair- if I may suggest, go outside and so the same pic or so with some better light. Cameras really don't pick up light the ways our eyes can- they really do need more light than our eyes think they do.
(and even if you can't get a good pic, we're a hair club, not a photo club, so don't worry about it if getting a good pic evades you ;) )
Wow! Amasing mane!
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks..........but it was really much more amazing several months ago. Perhaps more "amusing" now?
And but one more photo of my youngest friend who went to the beach with me.
Justin~
Hi Justin,
Wow that's such a beautiful picture and coastline and very stunning compared to other places south I've visited. When I next swing by I'll have to visit there!
Cheers,
John.B
Hey John
Here is looking the other way towards Indian Beach. Woo-Woo-Woo!
Sure.........swing by.
Justin~
Wow! I had no idea you had been trimming and decided to stop. It does indeed look like it has more to go if that's what you want. Careful you don't trip over it.
Trim? No way, I haven't been doing that. Just letting it grow to see just how far it goes. At this length it really is no trouble at all.
Hey Justin, great update! Your hair is amazing and it looks like you have lots more growing to do. The ends still look very full. So in total, how long have you been at this??? Thanks for sharing...inspirational as usual.
Cheers,
Max
Hi Max
It has been growing back out since 2003 when I was very stupid and fell for a Buzz Cut.
Take care-
Justin~
I couldn't really see the length, so thanks to Absalom for saving me from importing the image to Paint Shop Pro, or PhotoShop Elements to lighten it up a bit. Loooks really good, the hair genes favor you, unlike many males as they age. Curious to know if you eat a particular diet that perhaps contributes. I eat a whole-grain fiber rich diet that naturally provides biotin, but I do take MSM, but mostly for my joints. I don't shed a great deal as a result. I note that you stated not taking those as supplements.
My diet is just what one with Diabetes is suppose to eat........which is really everything I want. (Just have to keep track of carbs ingested on a daily basis.) Also, a 1/2 hr. a day work-out. I make alot of the foods myself because of the sodium content being so high in the foods available in the stores. Fiber, Chocolate (85% sugar free) and Cinnamin used as well as hot peppers. These help with foods in slowing down the glucose conversion. (Doctors apparently don't know or speak of this.) Only one low dose vitamin a day. EVERYTHING must be "Whole Wheat" and not processed. Can't stand most veggies so drink them. (Low sodium V8.)
Diabetic here too (Type 2), but I eat regular, not sugar-free chocolate. Sugar-alcohols don't agree with me at all. Rather than keeping track of carbs, I pick carbs according to glycemic index. And I follow The Zone to balance carbs, protein and fat, to lower glycemic index. I have not experimented with cinnamon, though I have read about it's usefullness in controlling blood sugar. I have kept my A1C's normal for years.
With fiber and whole wheat, you are definitely getting enough biotin from your diet. Studies have shown the benefits of biotin from a whole grain diet, but none have supported supplementation. Which makes me thinks it's biotin combining with something else also in whole grains. While sick with a norovirus, I had to eat soup with white noodles, and eat white bread. I'd forgotten how bland that stuff is, I'm so accustomed to my whole grain stuff. Barilla makes the best whole wheat and multi-grain pasta. The fact that fiber is good for my hair is a plus.
Its hard to see the length. Good you have your hands near to the ends. Wish my hair would have got that long. Never seemed to get longer than midback when I had it long.
Hey I can't see the artwork on your shirt cause the hairs in the way!
Oh yeah! the hair looks superb BTW, good genes indeed.
Kevin
Hi Kevin
Here is the shirt without the hair. Funny thing is, I'm not a skier. But that's okay cause I will wear most anything. I even have a shirt with a Monkey on it! And yes, good genes luckily.
Hope you are having a great day.
Justin~
Hi Justin,
What an amazingly long ponytail, and you are genetically blessed to have the hair you do at your age. Of all the guys your age or older, I think your hair is the longest! I hope that you will be blessed with even more hair growth in the future.
Take care, and keep it growing!
David
Hi David
Yes, actually it is quite amazing even to myself and especially at the age: "Fossile!" Not sure if I am breaking any records or not with other men my age, but most anyone my age I doubt would even consider having long hair. I stay young. They grow old as they try and mold themselves into what they think they should be acting at their age by being so attached to what society as a whole does.
Take care-
Justin~
You have just awsome hair! take care and keep it growing.
herr.k
Thanks herr.k. I have every intention of letting my hair continue to grow.
Hi Justin
Your hair looks nice. How long are you going for? What was the event six months ago? As for age, I hope to retain my full head of hair all my life. I do not want a skullet, ever.
Matthew aka Regardless
Hey Matthew
Thank you for the compliment. I am going for just as far as my hair can grow which I never have done before. Six months ago was my 60th Birthday. (And I count in Leap Years! LOL )
With the kind of hair you have (hair-type) most likely you will have very long hair.
Justin~
Arrggg....I am soooo jealous !!
Seriously, You look great and that is an impressive length !!
I am on the road and will be stomping around the Columbia River Banks between Astoria and the The Dalles later in the week.....I will get my cell number to you through email.
Pick a place for lunch (my treat)....maybe we can stuff that long ponytail up under White Tail's hat for a photo ! HA!
Hope to see you.
Walter
Hey Walter
Actually, in person it may not be all that great, but at least it is for real! My schedual is a bit all over the place but perhaps we can meet up someplace yet. Are you going to be swinging by the Portland area at all? Or better yet, right down at Cannon Beach or even Astoria. :-)
All the best-
Justin~
Mind the snow drifts as do come from nowhere. Hope you two have a great time at you meet up!
Cheers,
John.B
Great pic, man! I hope mine gets that long.
Paul
Thanks Paul and I hope that your hair can make it this long as well. Last I heard someplace was that most all men can grow their hair at least to waist length which is VERY GOOD! :-)
Take care-
Justin~
Wow, I didn't realize that your hair was so long. Awesome!
jeffrey
Hey, thanks Jeffery. Hope all has been going well with you.
Justin~
Now remember what Doctor Ruth says..."Keep bending zee knees and enjoying the therapy"!!!
Looking wonderful Justin!
Getting to watch-out-for-the-doorknobs length (recalling Scott's favorite mane-bane ;-)
- Oren
Hi Oren
Ha Ha ha...........it isn't the doorknobs. More like being careful not to sit on my hair when getting into the car. (Only took me 6 months to figure this one out.) "Fling" it all over the shoulder. Skools when I was growing up were not as they are today. Mine was held in a cave! LOL :-)
Justin~
Hey there Justin, that is one beautiful tail my friend!! Classic length, you know when hair is as long as yours it looks as cool in a tail as it does loose.
Tremendous and very enviable.
Take care,
~ Dave
Hey Dave
Thanks for your always so kind remarks about my long hair. But really, I rather think you are the one with the coolest looking long hair of all. With my length I cannot get that wonderful "Wild Look" that you have.........and I happen to like that look a whole lot! :-)
All the best-
Justin~
Just fantastic Justin. I'm certainly envious of your genes!
Hey Jason
Thanks! But really, with the fantastic long hair so rich and full as you have I can assure you that you have nothing to be envious of.
Take care-
Justin~
Very nice! And the thickness at the end makes me think you've got more length to go before you hit terminal.
Mouse
Hey Mouse
You are so right. The ends are still think enought so that I know that they are not quite ready to give-up quite yet.
Take care and thank you.
Justin~
*Applause
Great tail, Justin. I am quite happy for you, to know your hair has not reached terminal! It looks just beyond great at it's length now. Keep up the good growing, Justin.
Once again, amazing mane, and it has always influenced mine!
Hegg
Hey Hegg
1st time I have ever had applause other than for some of my music. Thanks! But be careful of any influence of mine.......I am still playing with 1/2 deck of cards. (But I think everybody knows that.) LOL :-)
My best to you Hegg
Justin~
I can picture all of us in the sidelines shouting "GROW! GROW! GROW!" like we are watching some racehorse running way ahead of the pack! That mane is a wonder Justin, there is just no stopping you :)
Congratulations Justin that is a mane to be quite proud of!
Take care my (not at all) ancient friend. :)
Hi Chris
Racehorse? More like the elderly grey mare but not having the grey yet. Only a matter of time I suppose as I must be 200 years overdue. There IS a red light on the tracks, but luckily mee vintage eyes don't see it. LOL
Thanks Chris and as always my best to you-
Justin~
Now that's a tail any pony would be proud to have:)Kewl!!
Mark
Hi Mark and thank you very much. Not all that sure about a pony as I haven't learned their language yet to know how proud they would be. LOL But I sure am happy with it!
Take care Mark and all the best as always
Justin~
Very impressive and your hair looks very healthy.
Chris
So nice of you to say this and I appreciate it very much. Funny, but when one actually has hair this long, (at least talking for myself) I hardly give it a thought as I am just so used to it.
Best of luck to you in growing out your own mane.
Justin~
Justin,
Man O Man does that lenght look impresive
Im totally jealeous Dude
Hope mine get that long
Steve
Hi Steve
Nothing to be jealous of really. Everyone with long hair has their own individual look which always seems to be just so fabulous. Thanks ever so much for the compliment however. Ever so much appreciated.
Justin~
You do have amazing hair Justin! You are truly blessed.
Bruce
Thanks so much Bruce. Indeed I know I am lucky. Yikes.........glad I can be lucky once in a while. LOL
Take care-
Justin~
