I am new to this hair cut. What is the big deal? I keep hearing your hair has to be either one length or buzzed. This sounds crazy and a bit unhealthy. If we as long haired men are going to look for acceptence then why bash anyone who wants their hair different. For the past 10 years we saw nothing but bald and shaved heads. Now long hair is coming back. Lets not be so full of ourselves and decide what ANYONE should look like. Wear your hair the way YOU find it looks nice. If you look good in a mullet wear one. I think some guys look cute with one, and others don't. To say that its unnatural is silly. no hair cut is natural.
I find its the stylist's who want everyone to wear the same cut. Strange! sorry for the rant.

I personally don't like the mullet. I have never seen anyone look good with a mullet.
BUT...I agree that it's your hair. Everyone is entitled to have their hair the way they want. If you like a mullet, get one. Heck, there are people out there who think my hair, which is long all over, looks bad. But it's my hair, so I don't care what they think.
I just never cared for "business in the front, party in the rear" hair. But that's just me.
i know, i know, it is the person's decision, but . . .
you said "no hair cut is natural." i agree. so that is why some people do not cut their hair. it just ends up being long, but it really is not a haircut at all; it is the lack of one.
anyway, happy mullet to you! :)

I agree with you. People should wear their hair the way they want to. Its funny, in the eighties and up until the mid nineties, mullets were considered fashionable. I noticed it is only the last five years or so that people make fun of the mullet. I dont know why this is. I used to wear a bit of a mullet haircut about eight years ago. I had short hair in front with the back just touching my collar. If you remember even Jay Leno of the Tonight Show used to have his hair in a mullet up until about five years ago.
Wear it however you want. It's just that I lived with one for about 10 years and always had wanted to grow it out all the way, which I finally am doing. So, I tend to not like the mullet style on myself. Looked rather strange having the top, sides (in front of the ears) and the front bushy and the back coming down to almost mid-back. Now I'm a lot closer to being all one length. Every strand of hair touches my hair tie and most is actually in a 'tail. So, I think I'll just stick with the all-one-length style, and let someone else wear the mullet.
