Hi,
my name is Shawn and I'm from Germany.I've been keeping track on this board for a while but have never posted anything. So here I go ;)
My goal is to have hair a little bit below my shoulderblades.
So now I've already got a question: I was wondering if my hair is damaged (if the ends are split) or if my hair is normal just flaring out and looking all weird as it is right now (which could be because of my hair are layered I suppose)?? For a while I was still using a blow dryer to dry my hair in the mornings (now I let it air dry) so this could also be a reason IF it is damaged. My last trim was 3months ago.Now I know that it's good to just let it grow and not to trim it all the time but if the hair is damaged this will unfortunately not work and as I said I will not blow dry it anymore unless it's an emergency.
Thank you in advantage
Greetings
Hi Shaun welcome. I have hair that is now 3/4 down my back. I didnt listen to anybody who were telling me that I needed trims, you have damaged ends, all that crap. I just let my hair alone and let it GROW!.It is what it is, just let nature take it's course is my motto. I also try not to blow dry. I'm a fan of letting my hair dry naturally. I try to use a good conditioner and put a little hair silk or some such product on the very ends
Hey Todd,
thank you now I can calm down about my hair beeing damaged.
Hi Shawn, and Welcome!
Your hair does not look damaged to me. I only have a trim about once a year (sometimes less often than that) and that takes care of the split ends.

Hey Shawn! your hair looks great!!! Cool color and it will look really when you get to your goal lentgh. Hope it all goes well! Keep up the great work and take care! longhairedone
Lieber Morian,
Your hair is enviable. I think you have a slight curl, and you mistake it for split ends. Leave it alone, Take care of if, and let is grow.

Welcome, Morian. Your hair looks alright to me in the photo. Damage is difficult to see in a photo, but from what I see it looks alright.
Your hair is flaring out due to your shoulders being in the way. Once it gets well below your shoulders it will straighten out.
Looking good, keep it growing.
