Hi guys ! I feel it's time to post some photos. So...
This one is for show the length, although, it's difficult to see how long my hair is for real, as it's wavy (because I braided wet last night)
The second is... hum, nearer. Hair haven't been washed since a week, but yesterday was a very rainy day; I suppose it was a water only wash ;)
The last was taken last week, the day after the wash, not combed nor brushed. I like the colors and the texture, even it's a bit wild...
On the bad side... Since mid-January I have a bald patch on the back of my head (round, quite large, but totally invisible). I believe it's due to an intense stress some weeks/months ago and I really wish my hair will regrow in this area... I may consult a doctor one day.
I just order neutral henna, to experiment it on my hair. It may add golden reflets on my blond strands, and add volume, and etc :)

Always good to see an update from our tech chief. Hair looks excellent and the henna, well it looks good from the back although was your hair wet at the time of the pic? Either that or it did add volume.
Cool update and a thank you for all the work you do down in the boiler room to keep things running. If it weren't for you we would be chiseling our updates on stone tablets, or painting images on cave walls like when I was a boy.

When I said "I just ordered", I really just ordered, and even didn't receive it, so I will try maybe next week. And yes, braiding hair when wet can add a pretty volume to the hair.

Vivien, tres bien! You hair looks great and I really like the blond highlights. I hope the henna works well for you, and that the stress has gone away. Maybe you should get a doctor to check out that bald patch. It could be something really simple and curable easily. Do you have free doctor visits in France?

No, we haven't exactly free visits to the doctor, but we have a national insurance which pays a great part of the cost of the visit. I will go if it don't regrow in some weeks.

Thanks for posting an update and your doing a great job as Kevin says in the "boiler room" with the tech part of the site.
I didn't realise you hair was that long. I have to agree with Mark and have have body to your hair and the wave due to the braiding. You certainly have great colour and like you say you see blond strands as well. As I've said before another wonderful inspiration here to others growing or maintaining their hair.
I'm sorry to hear about the stress and hope that you work around it. One way I've found to deal with stress is to think of something funny or in a conversation. It certainly works for me and perhaps that's why some people think I've got an oddball sense of humour.

My method for the stress, when it is spread over a long-time (Huhu, I'm not sure this sentence is written in good english ;)) is to play music, very often, although it's difficult when I don't have time...

Thanks, Jason. Oh, you would be surprised to see how thin is the end of my braid . It isn't as thick as I would like, but I trimmed it only once in four years. So it's "normal" :), but yes, hair can spread a lot.
I hope your problems with your ends are now resolved...

Your hair looks awesome Viv, I too like the colours and the texture looks incredible as well.
Thanks also for wearing a light colored shirt so it shows nicely. Many wear a dark shirt and that makes viewing dificult if at all.
As for your concern I would not wait to contact a doctor sometimes these conditions are signs that we need to pay attention to.

As for that little spot, best to see a dr. and know for sure what it is all about. With luck the hair WILL grow back.

That is a fantastic long hair you have Vivien! I really like the various color highlights you have in it now and the texture is great. I think the waves make it more interesting and are wll worth having even if it seems to be a bit shorter because of them. It's quality over quantity :)
I hope you are able to fix that bald spot, I would think so if it was stress that did it and nothing really wrong with your scalp. I hope yo aren't still so stressed now. I hope the henna works out for you as well.

Well thanks for posting some pics on your current hair length. I think it's the first time since I joined MLHHB nearly 6 months ago that i have actually seen your hair length more closely. I personally think your head of hair looks really great with the waves in it. I hope you get some attention to that bald spot just in case it grows larger. Playing musical instruments is a great stress reliever I find.

Your hair is gorgeous, Vivien. I did not know it was so long. It reaches at least to your waist. You are surprisingly tall too. My estimate is about 185 centimeters.
As for the small bald spot, this may be a form of alopecia areata which is an auto immune disorder. Alopecia areata can cause hair to fall out from a spot one or two centimeters in diameter, leaving surrounding hair intact.

Multi-tonal hair. I have that, a mix of blonde shades, plus light-brown lowlights, and strawberry-blonde highlights. The hair looks different under different types of lighting. Henna would probably bring out the colors more. Do you have a goal length? It's a nice length now, but wondering how far you plan on going.

Concerning the goal, I hesitate between going to terminal or let grow all my hair to my waist and have a U-shaped or blunt cut at this level. Let's grow more... :)
