What a pleasure it was meeting a superb long time member of this board yesterday and having a great lunch with him in an historic Log-Cabin restaurant at Cannon Beach. "White Tail" is certainly one of the most fascinating of persons I have ever met, and I almost think that he may somehow be related to Einstein. His interests and hobbies know no bounds. Just amazing!
Walter is currently staying in the town of Astoria before returing home. And for those that do not know, Astoria at the upper most tip of the state of Oregon is the oldest and very famous vintage town that is located right at the mouth of the Columbia River which divides the state of Oregon from Washington State. Photos 4-6 were photographed by Walter yesterday after we met and had such a blast talking about all kinds of things. A 1st for both of us actually meeting someone on this great MLLH in person.
A great sense of humor combined with so much knowledge, interests, and talents as well as a long hair was truly a most remarkable experience.
Great meeting you Walter! :-)

Such a great human being!

Wonderful photos Walter, you have a good eye.

These are beautiful pictures Walter, such a rich mood to them. You are an excellent photographer!
I know this may sound strange but that bridge reminds me of the Goethals Bridge going between New Jersey to Staten Island!Could it be possible there are two Goethals Bridges?Other than that weird thought Walter's pictures are excellent!

Hi Justin/Walter,
Thanks for sharing those pictures with us and it's great to have another board "meetup". It sounds like you both had a great time and a wonderful lunch. I'm just jealous you live a such beautiful part of the world.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip up there Walter.
Take care.
Cheers,
John.B
Greetings Justin and Walter, great that you two got a chance to meet up. What super photos too! Beautiful part of the country...I must get there myself sometime...although I have lots of beauty around here too in northern CA.
Thanks for sharing those pics!!!
Cheers,
Max
Great picture guys, you both look really super, like Indiana Jones and the Mighty Wizard! Glad you enjoyed your meet-up!

Astoria, Oregon, is the setting for one of the greatest movies of all time: The Goonies!
Great pictures, guys... thanks for sharing!
--Val
I was thinking the exact same thing! ;-)
Y'know what they say... "Great minds," and all that.
;)
Val
The Goonies rocks, and Kindergarten Cop was a pretty good movie too. Something about the setting?

Fantastic photos of you two!
I have been through Astoria a few times. Very picturesque.
I was at Multnomah Falls last summer.

Hi Justin,
Thank you for sharing this absolutely wonderful set of photos, and what a joy it must have been for the two of you to meet, and have some good conversation together. Both of you look great!
Perhaps some time in the future, I might have the chance to meet one (or both of you) and if I am EXTRA lucky, Tammy will be accompanying me too!
Thank you for sharing,
David
Thanks for posting these pics of you, great pictures. I am glad you had a chance to meet and have some fun and share the pictures.
Walter looks like a frontier town character from the Wild West with the hat and that fantastic silver shining hair! It is interesting how some things look so natural on one person and on another not so much (better give the hat back to Walter Justin :) )
Stay well the both of you!
You guys look like you had a bunch of fun and a great time. Both of you look great in the photo. Glad to see you could meet up with each other! Both heads of hair look fantastic :)

That's so cool that you guys were able to meet up like that.Speaking from experience its really fun meeting up with other guys from the board.I have been very fortunate to have met at least six and hope to meet others in the future:)Also all those pics are very well done and the scenic ones are like postcards.Certainly I would love to have been there too!Cheers
Mark
Wow what a thrill I would imagine! You both look marvelous!
A real special update with those scenic pictures!
Bruce
You guys rock ! Thanks for sharing these nice photos !
"..."White Tail" is certainly one of the most fascinating of persons I have ever met, and I almost think that he may somehow be related to Einstein. His interests and hobbies know no bounds. Just amazing!..."
Very kind words from Justin, but I fear he just misinterpreted senility and indecision.! HA!
JUSTIN: Thank You my Friend ! (for the words and the visit)
TO ALL: Thank You for your comments. Justin and I had a wonderful visit that went by just entirely too fast. Justin is a delightful person also with many talents and interests. His musical career is truly impressive.
Hey Walter
You are being much too kind. The "senile" one is myself. I mean really, how else can one be when their brains had fallen out years ago. :-0
And yes guys, thank you for all of your gracious and kind remarks. Much appreciated.
Continue having fun on this trip Walter. :-)
Justin~
looks like an excellent meet up guys, it's always nice to meet in person and see that we're real. On my next trip out west I'll wander up to Oregon and get a load of some of that great scenery.
Who knows maybe I'll get to try on that hat someday. (grin)
Kevin
Wellllll... lookit these two relics fromm the past! One looks like 1860's wild west, the other looks like a 1960's flower child. Who will you meet up with in the 2060's with your secret time machine? No wonder Walter has a herd of Calico's, somebody's gotta guard the place while he tinkers with the time machine. Time travelers in our midst! {dripping heavy with sarcasm}
Actually, Walter (so as to be nice to me) put on a special costume so we would look from a similar time period. But he is really 39, and I, (The Professional Flower Child who once tended Lincolns herbal garden) dates to 1826. My, how the years have flown and keep going faster.
And if you believe this, it is little wonder that presently there are Pink Elephants flying all around this computor. LOL :-)
