I made a thread concerning my hair suddenly going into a spiral, like I said, that hasnt happened before. What the heck is going on?
It is simply what we call here the awkward stage. It will pass.
it really doesn'tlook that bad! but yeh, as it gets longer that will happen less. in the mean time, try wearing a hat (beanie style) before it dries completely, should flatten it out a bit, at least 'til below your ears.
Hi Chris,
Aside from the possibility that it is just "the awkward phase", it may be that you are like me, "A Wavy", which is to say that your true hair type is not totally straight or totally curly, but a little of each. They refer to it as an "S" curve in the hair as it grows out, and the best advice is to "embrace the wave" rather than fight it. For some further reading, check out the FAQ section on this website:

A little down the page of entries on this board, check out the posting by Mat, who has photos and some of his experience posted. He has truly curly hair, but the website I mentioned (from him) shows "Wavy" type hair and what to do with it.
See what you think, and if any of it applies. The website shows a lot of very beautiful women with curls and waves, but there are guy examples as well.
hope that helps.
