Just wishing everyone and their loved ones a happy Valentines Day
Cheers
Kevin
Thanks for the wishes Kevin but as for the cake I will pass. (Too many carbs in my case.) LOL
Interesting colours and they have the utmost beauty of a West Coast sunset evening. Most novel and not the usual pinks and reds for a change.
Hope you are having a nice weekend.

As of a sunset
of a West Coast eve-
such a wondrous cake,
is this, to please.
Its frosting so rich
just gleaming as gold-
made with such love,
of this I've been told.
A feast for the eye
so precious a thought-
and of its creation,
could never be bought.
Too lovely to eat
this cake so rare-
and of this photo,
I can only stare.
Of all the wonders
upon this earth-
that of this cake,
could quench any thirst.
For the beauty of it all
has me in tears-
of this day to remember-
cheers, cheers, and cheers!
Great poem to my little tacky cake Justin . ROLF
How do you come up with these? lol
Kevin
How? How? HOW?
Oh Kevin, I kid you not. Of the inspiration and complete magnificence of this cake could't but bring out all of the artistic expression I had within. NEVER seen anything as gorgeous before.
And, I have NEVER written a poem of love to a cake before in my entire 366 years on this planet.
That photo slayed me and now I dream of this most wondrous and lovely cake.
Justin~
Where's but bucket!
What's that? English? Can you translate it for those of us in the New World?
No it's a stramge dialect of the Queens english for people this side of the pond in the old world!
John, what does the phrase "Where's but bucket!" mean though? I'm very interested in your old world English. I'm in the middle of reading all Spenser's stuff now; archaism of language has been my life these last few weeks.
Most certainly it's a line from Shakespeare, I just can't remember the play.
Actually, I somehow think it was said in passing in Macbeth. Twas long ago that Shakspeare and I went in together on an Opera. Sold out to standing room only in a mere 3 years. Alas, my dear friend was deceased by then and never heard it. Good thing. The lead violinist was a bit tipsy and was playing Brahms Lullaby which had not even been written then.........nor Brahms been born!
Pretty cake Kevin!
Happy Valentines Day to all!

Kev,
Love the cake dude. My wife and I went to a Valentines dance held by the local community Assn. , not many young folks like me ( 39 ) and not 1 long hair man there but me . I wore it down of course, and received many a look of oddness. I didnt care since not a one of them could dance like I can. I can cut a rug if I dont say so myself
Happy Valentines Day
Steve
