Yes, it's been that long!
I haven't posted here in ages, I can't afford to have an internet life now (gladly), and I kinda lost interest in most forums, which I think it's normal and usual =P
I'm happy, tough, to see so many new faces looking forward to grow their hair long, it's really an awesome life style if you learn to live it in a balanced form, believe me, it took me quite a while to settle down the emotions and the hard care I took about my hair. It all payed out tough =)
My hair is now past my waist, heading towards tailbone lenght. I have trimmed about 5 times in the last four years, and I don't regret it. Actually, I think I could use a lot more trimming, but I want to achieve my goal of classic (butt lenght) first. Afterwards it's a new journey for thick, straight and blunt ends =P I'm going slowly and relaxed, but surely getting there!
Thank's to all the folks who suported me when I was very active here, and my best wishes for you all new people growing out your hair out. Trust me, it DOES pay =D

Thank's for the comments! When I reach my goal I plan to just keep trimming untill my ends get blunt and straight. After that, who knows? I will probably just live happily with my long hair =P

Its certainly great to hear from you again as its been so long since you did an update.At times we all need to spice up ours lives and that can include getting away from the internet for awhile as it can get to be a bit much.However I do enjoy this board and reading all the posts by the guys and the few girls that come aboard.
Your hair is without question sensational!The colour and thickness is very inspirational to the newbies just starting out and for that reason alone I'm glad you posted your new pics.I also like your goal of "butt length" as I'd love to get that length myself and am hoping it is possible.I wish my hair had the volume of yours but I'm not complaining as I'm pleased just to still have all my own hair:)
Anyway thanks for being part of the mlhh community and I do hope you will be around for the long haul even if its only once in a while.Take care my friend and I'll be looking forward to that classic length update:)Cheers

Actually I didn't like my waves at all when I first started, but now I've learnt that the hair texture is like a fingertip: all so diferent! The best thing about long hair is learning to like it's natural features, it's like a self esteem lesson =)

Yes, the trims are very helpfull. I love trimming my hair, the ends feel great afterwards, even if just a tiny bit is cut off.
I wouldn't trade lenght for quality ends now, tough. All in it's time. I'm waiting to achieve classic lenght first and then will probably trim every month to even everything. While not there, 3 to 3 month trims are a must now. I like to see trimming (regular trimming) as a hair health factor, just as good oiling and conditioning.

I've been very happy about my hair thickness too, altough sometimes it's hard to deal with, as it's very dificult to wear my hair loose. And yes, I'm now confident that I can reach classic lenght, and it makes me very happy =) Thank's for your kind comments!

Thank's for your comments! Actually, I thought several times about what to do after classic, but I think it's too early yet to decide... I know I am waiting eagerly for thick blunt ends, so that will surely be the next step. I don't know if I want hair longer than classic tough, but who knows!

I don't like to think that way tough. Everyone should aspire for lenght yes, but everyone's hair is so diferent, and that's what I find most beautyfull about long hair. It's so representative of each person =)

Your hair is absoulutely superb, João. It is so incredibly thick, and I see it is past your waist. It should be very easy for you to reach classic length.
You are another MLHH success story. I am glad we were able to help you to achieve such great hair. (I am guessing you will have classic length at about 61 or 62 months.) Keep growing it for sure.

Absolutely fantastic. I'm sure you get a lot of positive remarks from people, as well you should. You've got truely beautiful long hair, and the longer it grows, the more beautiful it gets. As always it is a pleasure to view your latest progress on the hair-growing front. You are one of the MLHHB superstar hair gods in my opinion.
I have to admit that your hair just keeps getting better and better looking the longer it grows. It is absolutely sensational - and I think you have the perfect head of hair - blessed with being very thick, healthy, and the different blended colours of hair therein.
As a recent Newbie who has completed 12 months hair growth you have been a true inspiration to me on my hair journey and also to the many others who are gradually evolving from short hair to developing impressive manes.
I can understand you taking time for other things and not spending too much time on the internet. Still it's great to hear from you occasionally when you do visit the MLHHB. I'm thinking within another 12-18 months you will reach your classic hair lenght goal.

Some great hair you have, man. I admire its length and quality to the point I started having doubts if I'll ever manage to grow half of that length, let alone the very length on your pictures. My will to grow hair is strong but sadly, my patience isn't of steel. So you have shown that you have some tremendous spirit strength as well.
All I can say is WOW. The length, the texture, the thickness...your hair's amazing man. You truly take great care of your hair and it looks like you can easily achieve your desired length. Very impressive mane Joao.
