I decided to try growing a beard. Not sure if I like how it looks. Around what age should the mustache connect to the beard part? Should I worry that I'll never be able to grow Lemmy style facial hair?
Wow, cool it really suits you! I looked at your profile picture, and I definitely think you look better with the beard.
Looks awesome man, I can barely tell that ur drip doesn't connect. As for myself, I'm nearly 25 and don't have a connecting "drip" yet either so who knows. Yours look good though, killer shirt by the way too.

hey garth, your hair is looking amazing and i really like the beard as well!! i wish i could grow a full beard!!
keep it up man, its looking great!
Hi Garth,
Thank you for sharing your outstanding update with us. Your hair is looking fabulous these days, and it is shiny and healthy, and waist length is not far away.
Your beard looks great too, and about the moustache "joining" the beard, it varies for everyone. Try not to worry about anything.
Keep it growing,
David
Potentially never. If your 'stache is long enough though, it will look connected. Just let the 'stache grow, you'll see.
No. Worrying makes you sweat, and sweat makes people smell bad.
when i grow a full beard, my stache doesn't really connect either. my older brother's stache connects, and he's 20, but i think everyone's connects eventually. i think the beard goes well with the long, straight hair. cool shirt btw (Bathory?)
Hails, Garth. GREAT length so far. As for the beard, that looks killer, too!
Oh, by the way, Blood Fire Death was an amazing album; great t-shirt. R.I.P. Quorthon!
Wow man, it is always great to see a progress picture from you. Would really like to see a back view. How long are you planning to go?
Regarding the beard, I do like it yet I think that your clean shaven look gives you that awesome mythological look of Thor or Connan...
Hi Garth,
Great update and the beard suits very well and like the others have suggested let the top grow.
Unlike the lower west side I've always found deodorant works very well and keep those nasty smells at bay!
Keep it growing mate.
Cheers,
John.B
The full beard completes the look. It suits you *perfectly.*
Garth, way cool pic of you and the beard:) Actually you look great either bearded or not bearded. The beard does make you appear older but in a good way.Hair is lookin' quite spiffy too my friend.Who knows maybe you can pull off the Lemmy look:) Cheers
Mark
Garth,
Your hair looks great man. Wish I had that pin straiaght hair. I have wavy and curly.
I agree with VJ you great either way and ya can get away with the Connan look without the beard
your lookin good brother
Steve
It looks good on you, I'm currently growing my beard as well but it's not as full as your beard. About the connecting that is different fot everybody, just be happy with what you've got :)
The beard is great. It compliments your hair perfectly. Sometimes the moustache never connects with some guys, and that's OK. I like that look. I'd love if mine didn't connect.
Garth, You have wonderful hair and the beard suits you well!
peace, jonalbear
?
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous as well as being a knock out guy. You need to give us some more pictures back and front. we will be waiting.
Hey Garth, what a badass look, the beard and the hair look immense. You are one of the lucky ones who can grow a well proportioned and even, full beard. Excellent, keep it dude!
Cheers Dave
Great looking mane Garth!
A very nice start on a nice beard, too.
This mustache "connectedness" can very greatly from person to person. A little added length will surely make it look more connected.
- Oren
I think the facial hair suits you well and the current length looks great...
Thanks for Sharing

Thanks for all the feedback. I actually decided to shave the beard, even though I liked how it looks. It was really itchy, but I'm kind of sick right now and my nose running in it felt real gross. I probably grow it again soon though.
The itchy part is only in the beginning, it will stop once it's long enough. So don't let that hold you back next time you decide to grow it.
