Hey all, I heard bout this from a little site about long haired males and was intrigued, I didnt know such a place existed.. an internet forum for long haired males... Seems interesting..
I guess I should tell you my story..
Well, I am young, only 19 from Britain, I have always liked long hair, possibly because of my christian upbringing, my skater old-brother, my biker dad, biker uncle.. could have come from alot of things...
Well as a kid my mother cut my hair regularly for hygiene reasons mostly.. at the end of primary school (10-11 yr old) I got a mohawk which looked alright, kind of sweet on a chubby kid :P
Secondary school (11-16) Wasnt great for me.. I got bullied heavily.. Every time i tried growing my hair I cut it after 3-6 months due to ignorant comments such as "you look gay" "you look like a girl" and the infamous "Get a haircut!" When i reached the age of 15 everything around me began to kinda.. fall down.. my parents broke up and stuff and i had to make a stand.. so i decided so stand up for myself and grow my hair, i realised that no matter what my hair was like, i was always gunna get abuse unless i stood up for myself..
Things got better from then and people stopped bullying me because i showed i wasnt going to let them.
I found that girls love the longhaired look and have been quite successful, which has helped my confidence greatly..
So here i am, im 19, been growing my hair since I was 15.. ive only had it trimmed a couple of times to fix the shape. :)
Im in University at the moment studying Marketing and Advertising Management.
Sorry for the incredibly long winded post, I hope to get to know all of you a little more too.

Great to hear you still have your hair after 4 years, would love to see a pic. Sound like you've made it thru those bad years of secondary school with a more leathered skin from the bullies, BRAVO to you. Your a brave young man the way it sounds. Hope to hear from you more often and study well in University.
